Strengths
Krogan are built like tanks and are born on a world that's nearly uninhabitable. Because of this, they soak up much more damage than most other races can take and can easily survive on worlds with harsh terrains and climate as they have a natural immunity to disease and toxins.

Weaknesses
Due to a virus known as the Genophage, the Krogan have a dangerously low birth rate, making members of the race (especially outside Tuchunka) few and far between. Krogan may be the living equivalent of tanks, but there aren't many left.

Appearance


Culture
Krogan culture is essentially primitive and tribal in nature. With most of Tuchunka being nothing more than a wasteland, only the strongest of the Krogan survive. Split into clans depending on where you were born, the Krogan are natural fighters and are constantly warring with each other to prove which clan is the strongest. Because of this, many Krogan choose to leave their homeworld, becoming bounty hunters and mercenaries for hire because it's simply a better life than living in a wasteland.

History
The Krogan are a hardy species who have always had to fight just to survive on Tuchunka, as time passed and technology allowed the Krogan to become the dominant species of their homeworld, they found challenges in each other, rather than the predators that lurked all across their world. Eventually,  they developed and used nuclear weapons, destroying their world almost entirely. After being discovered by the Salarians and becoming a space-faring species, the Krogan began rapidly expanding across world after world to compensate for their ridiculously high birth rate. Eventually, wars broke out and the Krogan were almost unstoppable until the Salarians infected the entire species with a virus that would almost cripple their birth rate. Much of the Krogan population was then decimated before the war ended, and those that were left struggled to rebuild anything close to their former glory. Now, they fight amongst themselves once again in the wastelands of Tuchunka, or take to the stars as mercenaries looking for a better life.
