Description
The Sla'oqh is a vibrating, short blade that rotates upon a circular handled disc. Due to its ability to rotate along the disc, the blade is capable of surprising a foe with a sudden attack previously thought impossible at certain angles. The rotation also allows the user to implement skillful acrobatic jumps or spins into the dance of death. The vibrating motion caused by a reaction between two conflicting magical energies allows the blade to more easily cut through some tough materials such as bone or certain metals. It is a great piercing weapon as a result.
The Sla'oqh, although plentiful in number, is almost solely used by the master acrobats of the order of Zaegrim's Adepts in the Inquisition's Military. However, there are occasions where a very pristine (although quite decorative in purpose) Sla'oqh is presented to a close friend of an important figure in the Inquisition, or as a sign of an amiable agreement between the Inquisition and another faction or organization that is on good terms with the Inquistion - most commonly newly found allies.
While most Sla'oqh are visually and functionally identical, some users prefer to customize their Sla'oqh for a more personal feel. Examples of such customizations include, but aren't limited to, larger blades that sacrifice some speed for better reach, compartments capable of releasing a mass of condensed energy pellets as a short-range projectile attack, or embroideries of red or blue.
