Technology
Other than the half a dozen floating Nzani Platforms with essential survival depots and shelters, only a small fraction of Tchxa Technology is known. It is generally primitive, though ingenius. Examples include water bubbles that carry relatively dry supplies from below water to the surface for expeditions or trade.
History
Being a relatively new discovery for the Zaegrim Inquisition, not much is yet known about Tchxa or its quirky amphibious sentient denizens. From what diplomats and historians have gathered, Tchx was not always 99% covered by water, and used to be much drier. However, a shift in the orbit and further distance from the system's sun caused a change in climate and weather and caused severe floods and storms that caused a long gone civilization to leave. The Tchxa are the result of experiments done by the previous civilization to genetically advance the local wildlife. The Tcxha make use of the long dormant and dead ruins for housing and storage. The Tchxa themselves are salamander-esque in appearance, and use a tribal hierarchy with chieftains.
Within the past few years, the Zaegrim Inquisition has established a foothold upon Tchx, and are proceeding with diplomatic meetings and such with the native Tchxa people. The most recent of these meetings included an agreement for the Tchxa to become part of the Inquisition, as an independent people that can rely upon the Inquisition and provide resources.
Description
For the most part, Tchx is covered in water. Except for the occasionally landmass above water, there is nothing to build upon without technological intervention. Most of the landmasses that exist are up north and generally consist of icebergs and glaciers. The rest are sandy, tropical "paradises" that are never more than a few hundred yards in size.
Underwater, there is a plethora of exotic and interesting aqueous flora and fauna, as well as immense underwater caves that often hide dry caverns with breathable air and precious stones and metals hidden away. Many of the creatures that call this immense sea home are carnivorous and predatory in nature, so, while deep sea exploration can be rewarding, it is almost always dangerous. The Tchxa natives are familiar with several of these caves and locations, and so know best how to avoid conflict when exploring. As a result, they often have many beautiful stones and metals to trade to "Gods from the Air Skies", or offworlders.
