The Comet - Space station
Name: The Comet
Owner: Independent (Outlaw run facility)
Law: Outlaw code
Location: Geostationary orbit round Zaga'rath.
Design-Type: Modified Ring-station, model 41-D, designed by UNSC in 2467 as a deep space autonomous station for research purposes.
Docking facilities: The docking facility can take ship sizes medium to small in the local hangar bay for a high price. Other ships can collar-dock (also known as airlock-docking) onto the 'docking-stem' protruding off the station with the capacity of 50 ships. A regular planetary-shuttle (Hopper) transits between the station and three cities, Re'lius, Ka'ra, and Neth along Zaga'raths equator. Note that the arrival checks on ID and contraband by the Republic's ATOC are strict within the cities.
History: The research station was abandoned by the UNSC after it the planet was deemed 'not of interest' in the deep space research program. After the colonial set up now known as the Zaga'rath republic, outlaws re-developed the station as a trading outpost.
Due to the outlaws persistence and fondness of the station, the Zaga'rath Republic has overlooked its existence.
The Outlaw code states two rules for visiting The Comet station:
i) No killing
ii) No Stealing
Those caught breaking the rules either get killed, escape, or blasted out of the nearest airlock.
The station is still in a bad state of disrepair, and parts maybe dangerous if visitors leave the main section of the station or accommodation block. A historical titbit of the station are the 'Elven spirit stones' which float above a main viewing window located in the floor. These stones were gifted by passing Elves in thanks to the stations hospitality. Little else is known about them.
The trip advisory section of the Codex states this about 'The Comet' station: "While your reasons may be a little outside the law for travelling to Zaga'rath, The Comet station is the place to be when off planet. The station's Inn 'Halley's watering hole' is a recreation of an ancient style of 'English pub' packed full of a mix of species sitting in the dark nooks and crannies having been served poor-quality ale.

'The Comet' stations logo:The story behind the stations logo is a simple one and easier to understand if I copy the bathroom-wall scrawling on the Zaga'rath republic flag sticker (stuck to the left of the urinals):
"Whyz za Zaaarga'Repubics falg ain't got the comet on it!" (The man was drunk, most likely).
Later that evening a red cross representing X-marks the spot (Pirate joke), and the black circle being The Comet space station. While the orbital mechanics of the drawing were incorrect, the owner of the space station, who also happens to be the bartender, chose it as the logo/symbol of The Comet.
