Society:
Roles:
The Orcs live in a tribal-esque society not unlike that of the Ancient Native Americans, though somewhat more complex thanks to the entire race being akin to a gigantic tribe rather than small, individual communities. Demon Lords will often organize Orcs into rank and file armies, something that the species cannot avoid. But to an Orc, all Orcs are the same and all are their brothers and sisters. There is no single leader of the Orc race, the higher ranking demons fill that role. But in traditional Orc society, there are two positions for Orcs recognized as leaders of the Community.
Chieftain: A long lived Orc who often has seen many seasons and battles. It is no more than an informal position, recognized only by other Orcs. The Chieftain is looked upon as a fair justice-maker of sorts, a role model, and a leader when no one is tossing around orders. Chieftains have a lot of influence over his fellow Orcs, but is expected to be humble, fair, and put his brothers and sisters before himself. However, many Orcs would gladly lay down their lives for a Chieftain.
Shaman: Some among orcs are born with an exceptionally close relationship with magic. They have the ability to conjure up real power unlike many of their brothers and sisters. Those that can are called Shamans. Actual magical ability varies from Orc to Orc, but they are rare and incredibly valuable in Orc communities.
Art:
Art is very important in orcish society. It provides a pastime and a culture of their own that is separate from other races of demons. So different, in fact, that many demons consider Orcs to be a race below Demons, only good for service. Orcish Art isn’t very complicated, but it centers around five colors. Four colors are commonly used and have positive connotations and one unlucky color, used only in works of sadness, black; the color of death.
White for life.
Green for the planet.
Blue for harmony and healing.
Red for might.
Black for death and bad luck.
