Kittiana Youngblood could sense Makou's presence just as he could sense hers, dark magic clung to him like a second cruel skin. Kitty a hand in her pocket as she sauntered along the corrupted lands of Desolace, whistling lowly as she brought up as a fallen angel lunged at her. Without so much as glancing at it a hose of fire leaped from her palm, swiftly cutting it down. Her eyes strayed to other places, her posture made her seem care-free, but her eyes searched the grounds with a purpose that wasn't singular. 

Although she succeeded in finding one object of her directive, the puppet master himself. "Well well well, just the celestial I was looking for." A smooth smirk formed on Kitty's tan face, malice shining in her blue eyes. "You know it really gets me off to know I've got such a big bad celestial right under my thumb. It's a frigid day in hell when the puppet master becomes the marionette right?" Kitty was just taunting him, warming herself up and winding Makou up. It was true it did get her off a bit to know she had him right under her thumb, revenge was a cold dish that Kitty absolutely adored. "Well, now that I'm here lets chat."

"I am honoured to serve the great Kittiana Youngblood," Seh'makou smirked, instantly putting up his persona of a carefree and deranged trickster. "What would her highness like to discuss?" He performed a large, over dramatic bow, before straightening up to face her. A cane slid down seemingly from within his sleeve, tapping gently against the floor. Atop it could be seen the gem she had came for, his eyes scanning for whether she took an interest in it.

"Although, I do hope that whole Zalgo business hasn't put us on bad terms." His smirk curled up moreso than ever. "That was just to get us even."

Kitty chuckled upon watching him put up his carefree and deranged trickster persona, her smirk ever widening at his overly dramatic bow. Although Kitty did see the cane slide from his sleeve, she did not glance over at it directly. Kitty wasn't one to give herself away quite so easy, she could work up to that later. The queen's bright blue eyes brightened even more so at the mention of Zalgo, "Oh no not at all, took me less than 20 minute to dispose of your brother. You, of course, have my condolences by the way." 

Kitty's eyes grew distant for a moment, thinking back to that day and how Gaia and Zalgo had been destroyed. Her mind focused around what Elijah had picked up from the ground, apparently an object had been created upon the death of the two celestials. He had taken it with him and briefly Kitty wondered where it had gone to after his death. Then Kitty snapped back to focus, "Unfortunately I didn't come to trade pleasantries. I have business." Reaching to her side Kitty withdrew her angel blade, the gleaming white sword pulsing and sparking to life with a barrage of holy fire, as if it was mourning the loss of its homestead. "I ask that you release my friend Sam'anar." Kitty glanced back up at Makou, giving him a sharp toothed grin, mischief and malice glittering cruelly in her eyes. "Unless you'd just like to save me the trouble and forfeit your soul now?"

"My my..." Seh'makou laughed, almost as if he were impressed by Kitty. "What a convenient choice of words." He looked away for a moment or two, pondering the situation without his smirk dropping once. "Well, what could possibly go wrong?" His gaze snapped back to Kitty now with a grin upon his face. "It should take just a moment."

Makou's hand moved over the gem on his cane, working a dark magic to seek through the countless souls kept within it. It took around half a minute for Makou to find him and begin pulling his hand away, drawing his energy out from the gem. Soon enough a blue ball of energy shone brightly in Makou's hand, charged so greatly that he had trouble holding it. As soon as the soul was completely drawn out, he flung it towards the left-hand side of the valley.

A blinding flash erupted out from the impact point against the valley's side, lasting long enough for Sam'anar's form to take shape almost fully. A large, shining blue dragon now stood to the side of Kitty and Makou. His head stood at their own height itself, his body taking half of the valley up itself even with a curled tail. At first his wings stretched out to their full impressive width, before returning to curl up behind him.

The first few moments after his release consisted of his turning his large head to examine both Makou, Kitty, and their surroundings. No doubt he was confused as to what was happening.
"What are you doing here?" He turned to the one he recognized most, other than his captor, Kitty.

Kitty watched in curiosity as Makou flung the soul towards the left-hand side valley, her grip still tight on her angel blade. She had expected to see Sam'anar in the same sort of appearance she had first seen him in, that of a faceless man with skin made of stars, but then again she also wasn't too surprised by the dragon that took form from the soul. Although when he started talking the curious and perhaps semi-awestruck expression dropped, her blue eyes rolling. "Is stupidity a congenital thing with all of Dan's incarnations or forms? I'm here to get you out."

Sam'anar understood now, turning his head to focus on Makou. It was coming back to him; the battle, the imprisonment. All the pain Daniel had suffered was now gone though, he was free from that most mortal side of himself. Now there was only the guardian, Sam'anar.
"And what are we to do with him?" He asked Kitty, keeping his eyes locked on Makou who was now slowly backing away.

"I fulfilled my bargain," Makou spoke, still moving back. "Don't be a spoiled sport."
Sam'anar awaited what Kitty would say; part of him wanted to wipe out Makou now whilst something else told him Kitty might have her own wishes for him.

Kitty glanced over at Sam'anar when he asked what they were going to do with him, and she held up the sword. "Can you strengthen the enchantment on this?" She asked him, a hint of a malicious smile playing at her lips. Kitty looked back over at Makou, the malicious smile stretching across her face as she raised a brow. "It's flattering that you think I'm so good hearted that I'd leave you alone in peace after giving me what I want. But unfortunately, I'm quite the psychotic bitch." 

After saying that Kitty looked back toward Sam'anar, holding the sword out to his general direction. "Now, the enchantment please?"

At first Sam'anar continued to examine the two of them, thinking through the options and outcomes. Once decided, he began changing in physical shape. His scales retreated into his body, whilst his wings disappeared almost completely. Arms and legs shrunk whilst his torso straightened up, his head forming into that of a humanoid; eventually revealing his full form as that of a high elf. 

With blue glowing eyes he now looked upon the two of them, eventually reaching his hand out over Kitty's sword. Blue markings over his body lit up whilst an energy conjured into his palm. This same blue energy channeled down around the blade, filling it with his celestial enchantments.
"Do it." He said, stepping back to allow Kitty the space to move for Makou.

Kitty watched with fascination as the dragon began to reform into that of a high elf, and as he approached her she held out the sword to him. The second he began waving his hand over the angel blade, beginning to channel it into the blade, she could feel it and the gloved hand gripping the sword shook. When he had successfully strengthened the enchantment she nodded at him, then turned to look at Makou with a slight grin. 

Tightening her grip on the sword, she began to stalk towards him.

"You know, you'd think I'd have something smart to say," Makou half-shrugged as he raised his hands in a surrendering gesture. "But I can't think of anything to be honest." His eyes now traced the sword approaching him, moving backwards until his foot caught the point of a rock. Falling onto his back he now lay vulnerable below her, almost bracing himself for the impact of the sword.

"Who would think such a vile creature would learn to accept his defeat." Sam'anar spoke in the background, somewhat amused.
"Happens to the best of us." Makou sighed, awaiting Kitty's lunge.

"It's cause you aren't all that smart Makou, you should have stayed away after I warned you. You should have stayed away from the Almis's." Even though there was rage and a thirst for vengance in her eyes, her tone was completely even and calm. She rolled her wrist around, stray holy flames flickering onto the ground and dying out. Kitty stood over him as he fell, and as she tightened her grip on her blade, she waited for the two celestial's to stop speaking. 

Just for a second as she brought the sword up, her back turned to Sam'anar, the emerald ring on her finger glinted for a moment. For the briefest of moments Kitty's face turned white and her eyes the shade of blood covered rubies, and she gave Makou a grin like she knew something he didn't. But then as the sword began to fall, her face returned to normal and the ring dulled.

There wasn't the time nor thought left for Makou to speak before the blade plunged into his chest, silencing him for good. Immediately after his life was over, his body convulsed upwards with a dark mist rising upwards over the blade. His soul traveled along the edge of the sword, straight into the magical chamber of the sword itself. Once the transfer was complete his body slumped down again, finally motionless.

"You've done something great, as always, Kittiana Youngblood." Sam'anar spoke with a disconnected tone of voice. It was clear he did not consider himself anything like Dan now, and so did not share his connection with Kitty. "I must return to the celestial realm, I imagine it can only be in chaos after so many of our kind have fallen. I trust you will look after this realm in my absence." He nodded with sincere respect almost, before turning to conjure himself a portal.

"Oh," He stopped just before leaving through it. "Your daughter summons you to Phoenixspire. Try not to blame her for what has happened. Her righteous mind may be reckless, but in the end all good things will come about." After that cryptic message he had disappeared.

When Kitty pulled the blade from his body she looked down at him, then at the blade in her hand. As she knew full well, it didn't give her the amount of satisfaction she wanted. But then again revenge never did. Kitty sheathed her blade, turning to Sam'anar as he began to speak. She was glad that he did not call her Kitty, now that he was no longer Dan it would have felt weird for him to use nickname. "Looking after the galaxy is not my job but nonetheless it seems whether or not I sign up for things doesn't matter. I'll look after it." 

As he turned to leave another though struck her and she grabbed Makou's staff, tossing it to Sam'anar. "Your father is in there, along with god knows what else." Then she herself began to turn, she wasn't quite finished with Heaven's former shell yet. But when he spoke again she turned and she managed to keep a neutral expression at his news, "I will be with her shortly then. I have one last matter to attend to here." Then she turned and left as he went through his portal, beginning to search the planet. 

It took her hours but she had finally found what she was looking for, and after finding it it did not take her long to get it into containment. Then using her magic she teleported back to her chambers in her castle to get cleaned up, she had had to fight through quite a few things that lurked on Desolace's surface. Then one she was clean, she slid her sword into its sheathe, drew up a more intricate and longer range teleport spell, and teleported to the throne room of Phoenixspire.

A gathering of officials stood around the throne room, all of whom now were looking at the sudden appearance of Kittiana. At first they were surprised and somewhat frightened, but upon seeing the Queen of Nightblood they turned and retreated out of the room. Now there was only Jaya on her throne and Kitty in front of her. A warm smile greeted her mother, as Jaya straightened up. She wore a flowing white silk dress as usual and brandished the kingdom's crown.

"I'm glad you could make it," Jaya nodded, averting her gaze for a moment as she recalled the reason her mother had been summoned. "How are you feeling? About the trial? About everything?"

For this meeting Kitty had decided to wear the usual traditional clothing of her planet, although she'd managed to get them to style it a bit differently, she was wearing silky black gown with long billowing sleeves and a corset with silver designs on it. It looked sort of like a mish mash between medieval and elven attire. Her hair hung in fiery and wild red curls and a crown of what looked to be a black metal mixed with obsidian stones and onyx with a ruby in the middle. The only bright things about her attire were her hair, eyes, and the faintly glowing sword at her belt. "You know full well of my feelings about the trial. I still hold firm on disagreeing with what you did." There was no anger in Kitty's tone, but it held an icy indifference. 

Despite her anger with her daughter, as she walked closer and turned a little to meet her eye, her gaze softened into something more motherly. "Despite the fact that I am against your recent choices, I am still your mother and I love you very much." Reaching out, she put a hand on her daughter's cheek, giving her a smile before drawing her in for a warm embrace. When Kitty pulled back she placed her arms at her side again, and her face was softer. For the moment, Kitty seemed content on simply being a warm loving mother to her daughter. "It's actually quite...nice to have you call for me just to ask how I am feeling. So often our chats are tainted with politics and...other things."

"I guess that won't change anytime soon." Jaya shrugged, clearly she didn't care much for her mother's disagreement. It was obvious she would think that way, but in Jaya's mind she had done the right thing for the GSU. After their embrace Jaya walked from her throne, examining the hall around them. "You know Father left a lot behind in this castle. I had to get Gavin to handle the worst parts." She shook her head, remembering those countless tormented souls.

"Have you heard from Gavin recently? He seems to have disappeared again." Her gaze turned to Kittiana as she asked, before moving again once she had an answer. "Helix is being dealt with by the Imperium, of course with our help, but down here everything seems so quiet now. I almost don't trust the peace to last long."

Kitty curled a scarlet lock around her finger, tilting her head to the side. "No I haven't seen him. He'll pop up again eventually." Kitty waved her hand, obviously she wasn't too concerned by Gavin's absence.  Kitty chuckled when Jaya mentioned it being quiet, "It won't last long, that is something I am sure of. It never does last long." Reaching up, Kitty toyed with a blue glowing orb on a necklace around her neck, a grin starting to grow on her face. "Although something new may occur soon if I'm successful, but it won't be a bad disturbance."

"It's never good when any of you have secret plans." Jaya shook her head, feeling at this moment like she was the most mature and sensible member of the family. "I haven't seen my Grandchild yet, Aaron I believe. What's he up to?" She glanced half back at Kitty to show she was listening for a reply, but didn't face her fully. The fact that her grandchild was out there in the galaxy had played in the back of her mind for a long time, but she'd kept it under wraps whilst more important business was dealt with. She had a duty to her people and the GSU, gallivanting in search of her lost descendant would be no good.

"I'm sure you'll like it when it's finished." Kitty had that secretive little smile again before she let go of the orb around her neck and dropped the smile. Although it creeped back again as she let out a chuckle at Jaya's question. "Last I heard he was off with Aurora somewhere. Fae girl. She's nice, Diana did a mission with her." 

Then Kitty began to walk over to Jaya again, unsheathing her angel blade. There was a black whisp swirling around the blade with the rest of the holy fire. "Makou has been captured and Sam'anar is free."

Jaya glanced down at the blade, sensing the soul trapped within it. In reply she give a quick nod, before averting her gaze again.
"Then I'll inform the council and Father will not be executed." She said, obviously sounding not so pleased about the outcome. "Don't do anything stupid. He's in a secure anti-magic facility, guarded by Omega Legionnaires. Even you couldn't break him out, atleast not alone. But he's a criminal of the GSU, and assisting him would be a crime." Her eyes locked onto Kittiana's now alongside a serious tone.

"I'll kill him myself if he manages to escape."

Kitty looked startled at first by her daughter's words, blinking rapidly for a moment. Then her face turned stony again and her eyes frosted, now she looked more like her icy sister than her fiery self. "Sam'anar had one thing right. You are reckless. But you are not righteous. You think killing him will make you feel better? Make you hate a little less? Better the world? You're wrong." Kitty took a step back from her daughter, then turned away and fire curled on her fingertips. In the air she began drawing a teleportation rune, she didn't fancy this conversation anymore. 

"It won't. Maybe you think he's a monster and frankly I don't know why you dont see me the same way. I've got just as much red in my ledger." She completed the rune then turned back to her daughter, her tone indifferent. "I never would have been able to save the universe without him, he was always there backing my play. Without him I would be dead and you wouldn't exist." As the portal was conjured in a swirl of fire, Kitty gave Jaya one last spitting comment. "You will always be an Almis more than you'll ever be a Youngblood. Because we don't throw away family. But you Almis's...if I didn't love this family I would hate them because of how willing they are to throw away family and stab each other in the back. It's disgusting and quite frankly disappointing." Then Kitty turned and stepped through the portal, she was quite done.

Jaya said nothing throughout Kitty's rant, fully expecting the words to come. Only when her mother had left through a portal did she move, and that was only to smirk aside. 
"So predictable." She quipped to herself, before turning to walk away from where they had conversed. There was so much to do that she had no time to mull over her family drama anymore, especially when she no longer considered herself a part of that family. No, the Almis family was destined to end. The Veilsong family would rise in it's place.

Like a phoenix. Her mind suddenly thought, taking her aback slightly. It was true, they would be rising from the ashes of the Almis family, much like the fiery bird that once consumed her. A gulp cleared her worries. As much as the stories had said, not every Phoenix is reborn.

Or atleast she hoped not.
