Cosmic Magical aptitude: Shin Shin is extremely powerful with spacial magic that bends the fabric of matter and space. His proficiency with it is so great that he can create portals, create small black holes that last a few seconds, and create new matter. ( provided he consumes several worlds worth of chromosomes)  

Cosmic Awareness: Shin Shin has the ability to understand that which he currently doesn't, should understanding of it be required. 

Devourer of Chromosomes: Shin Shin devours the chromosomes of living things as sustenance. This often leaves the victims a quivering vegetable.

Physical ineptitude: While Shin Shin is powerful in terms of magical ability, his physical prowess is severely lacking. One could literally take a human boxer, have him sneak up on Shin Shin, and have the boxer beat him up. 

Overconfidence: Shin Shin sees all other species as inferior to him. This has a tendency of backfiring due to him underestimating his enemies. 

Chromosomes: Shin Shin's powers require him to constantly find and feed on chromosomes as a means of sustenance. Without Chromosomes, Shin Shin will become weak.

History: 

An enigma even to the most ancient of beings. Shin Shin first appeared as a black goop that fed on chromosomes, until it became extremely powerful - even worshiped as a god by some races who offered him their chromosomes. Still, no records ever exist of Shin Shin. Those that do survive to this day only contain vague passages about a dark god and the untranslatable saying: "Orewa o shinshin ga daisuke nandayou"
