Xailas sat in the corner of the tavern reserved for business. Not that he had any business yet, that's what he had come here for. He reclined back on the wooden seat and took a small sip of his drink, conscious that he had to make it last. He'd learnt from experience it wasn't a good idea to get drunk before meeting an employer. He shook his head at the memory of agreeing to distract an entire alien cult as his employer attempted to steal the golden statue they worshipped. Long story short, it had not gone well. Xailas thought for a minute if he should put up some sort of sign, 'Mercenary for Hire', but decided against it. Someone would come hire him, there was always a job for a mercenary with poor judgment.

Quareen was on one of those "Recruiting Routines" she has to go through, thanks to Kat.
She started scouting the Tavern for some potential pirates and there she saw a man hunched over the bar, she really didn´t know why he stood out but she just had a Feeling that he had something "Special".

She walked over to the man and sat next to him to order a drink "So are you for hire or something?"

Xallas felt a wave of relief, at last the waiting was over. Staying sober in a tavern for this long just wasn't right, soon he'd be able to drink to his hearts content. Still, first he had to attend business. He looked at Quareen and learned forwards, keeping his face steady.
"That I am, If you've coin to pay and a job requiring a... heavy tough."

"Hey Quareen..." William began, keeping his voice low as he entered the Tavern - the few who knew him quickly gave wide berths as he passed through them. Those who didn't know him as the White Death, simply scoffed at the idea of a human working alongside the pirates. He took one look at his fellow human - the one talking to Quareen - and raised an eyebrow. However, he knew better than to underestimate humans - himself being the odd exception to the 'weak human' norm that's been going around. He offered a nod at his fellow human before shifting his attention back to Quareen. 

"Something's come up." He began, before turning his attention back to the new guy and back to Quareen. "Bring the recruit with you..."

Honestly, Quareen didn´t expect any of this "Wait what, what happened?" but before taking off and following William she turned back at the new recruit "So uhm Somethings going down so Let´s see whats going down maybe when you did good in this Thing thats Happening. maybe you´d fit in with the Crew" Quareen offored her Hand "You in?"

Xailas frowned as his brow furrowed in thought.
"I'm not sure about the idea of a crew... the fastest way to get in trouble is to make ties. Still, I'd be more than happy with joining you on this job. We can discuss the rest after I'm paid."
He shook Quareen s outstretched hand.

William ushered the two into a pirate Dreadnought. William could immediately see the shocked faces of both Quareen and the new recruit. A Dreadnought, though extremely powerful, was not good news - it meant that something very serious has come up. 

"In you go." He said, motioning for the recruit to go inside. Quareen stopped in front of him, obviously wanting answers. There was nothing to hide. "Someone's decided it was a good idea to invade one of our worlds. It's a combined attack of some unknown crews, and there's a lot of them. Kat's calling on all the best troops to join the fight planetside." 

"Gear up.......we're going to war"

Xailas looked around the Dreadnought, he had to sit it was a fine ship. He walked over to William.
"Say now, care to elaborate a bit on what you mean by war? Who exactly am I fighting?"

"Just the usual...Orcs, some humans, dark elves, and more orcs....and some more elves...expect heavy fire." William answered as he ushered the new recruit into the ship's armory - where there were standard issue weapons for everyone to use if they wished. William stepped into the armory walked to his own personal locker, before opening it and gearing up. Both his pistols were strapped to his hips, the poisoned darts were just beneath the sensor he was wearing on his left wrist, and a whole host of other specialized weapons. The last thing he donned was a special white thermal coat that had camouflage pattern for snow. 

"We'll be fighting on a very cold world." He said, grabbing a thermal coat and tossing it to the recruit, who caught it. 

"It's total war on the planet as we speak." William elaborated as he took a seat next to Xailas. "Thousands have probably already died, and that number will become millions if we don't do anything.....that includes civilians and some refugees from the Helix Virus." 

"You will be headed planetside with Quareen and probably join the main forces with Kat......try not to die too early..."

A Little attack? That wouldn´t have been such a big Thing, but for Kat to send Will to get Quareen AND whoever she started to recruit to help out there...That means Things are getting VERY ugly.

"So we´re getting pulled to that warzone to Tear apart some Hooligans who don`t even have a faction?"
Of Course Quareen wasn´t against the thought Of teaching These Nogoods a lesson they´ll never Forget....although it`ll be sad to kill some elves.

Xailas looked at Tue thermal coat he'd been passed, then looked at Quareen. He held it out to him.
"Want a thermal coat? It'll probably get in my way, and I'll just end up ruining it." He pulled out an energy bar and hurriedly ate it. The moment he finished it he pulled out another. "Though if you have any food," he said with his mouth still full, "that'd help a bunch. If I want to stay warm on a cold planet I need all the energy I can get."
