| Solomon Vrask stared at the monitor with a morbid curiosity. It displayed news broadcasts from across the galaxy, all reporting on the Helix Virus. The Nekrax of Necronis had been relatively silent of late, deciding to watch and observe the goings on in the universe. As long as nothing threatened them directly, they wouldn't get involved. But now, this new threat presented a dilemma. While the majority of the Nekrax population agreed with the policy to just observe, some believed that as part of the universe, the Nekrax must act against the numerous threats. After many months of debate and protests, the go ahead was given for a full report to be made of the Helix Virus, its affect of the universe and its potential threats to the Nekrax.
Solomon's attention was drawn to a notification in the monitor. 'Report Complete***File Received***Transferred To Dataslate' Solomon looked down at the holographic tablet that sat on his table. On the display was a long transcript detailing everything that him and his team had been able to find on the virus. Standing from his desk, he turned and walked to the exit, dataslate in hand. Around him, other Second Generation Nekrax continued to observe various monitors.
The second generation of Nekrax were created from the DNA of the first due to that fact that being undead, they could not reproduce. This meant that the second generation looked virtually human, almost indistinguishable except for a few features. One was that their eyes were dead, pale and unmoving like the first generation. The other difference was that none of their organs work and their blood clotted soon after being created.
Solomon walked down the cold, steel corridors of the main capital building of Vortis Spire, he heavy boots echoing off the bare walls. Soon he came to a large set of steel doors with an armed guard of First Generation Nekrax. There to meet him was The Deacon, secretary to the counsel. No one knew his real name due to the fact he couldn't tell anyone for he had no lower jaw, leaving his dry, rotting tongue hanging loose. This was the only difference between the first and second generations in terms of appearance. The first generation became undead because of a curse created by the demon crusade during their occupation of Necronis. This meant that all the people who would have died in the war to grievous injuries survived, and overtime became rotten and disfigured. While the second generation had been genetically engineered after the last of the demons had been destroyed by the new Necronis Stratocracy. This meant that many of them had not seen war or been in circumstances where they became injured. And so they remained mostly whole and relatively human in appearance. Solomon saluted to The Deacon and presented the dataslate. Nodding in response, The Deacon took the tablet and made his way inside the huge steel doors. Solomon turned and made his way back to his desk.
Mortimus Vrax looked up towards the large steel doors as they opened. Entering was The Deacon who bowed deeply, his tongue swinging violently, before approaching the table at which sat the counsel of The Necronis Stratocracy. There were 8 members, most being Commanders from the old war now made Lords. Mortimus was the most recognizable as he had lost all his flesh, leaving only his animated skeleton dressed in a long leather coat that seemed to be permanently dusty. He nodded back to The Deacon who placed the dataslate on the table before bowing once more and left. Mortimus placed the tablet in the center of the table and turned in on, creating a flickering hologram of the Helix Virus report in the air. "Hmmm, it appears that the virus is robotic in nature, creating monstrosities and has already wiped out a number of planets in the northern parts of the universe." Mortimus pointed at a line in the report. "Already a number of factions have taken up arms or have aided the survivors. Planets are packed with refugees, and some groups are trying to find the source." From the other side of the table, a man dressed in fine military garbs with one eye and a missing hand spoke up. "Leave them to it i say! Let them sort the problem out , they're capable enough. What do they need us for? Here we are, south of the galaxy, sat in the ruins of the demon crusade. This has nothing to do with us." Next to Mortimus, a woman stood up, she looked vaguely human except for her dead eyes. This was Phoenix, the first of the Second Generation Nekrax. "May i remind you Markus, that we have spent the last 5 months sat on our laurels doing nothing while the galaxy deals with its problems. We are known to the GSU and they are starting to ask questions. We... You were once human too. Surely it is your duty to help them against this threat." "My duty is with my people... our people. There isn't enough of us to wage war or lend military assistance. We can't afford losses and we have to allies to boost our numbers. The GSU has no interest in us. To them we are abominations, an unnatural occurrence that can be ignored. Only now, when they're threatened by something that may be a challenge do they look to us. And do you know why? Because we'd make the perfect cannon fodder in their wars. We're tough, nigh unkillable and impossible to demoralize. Why would they want our help if only to use us." "Enough!" Mortimus sighed "Despite Lord Markus' outburst he does have a point. We cannot tackle this threat by military means, there just isn't enough of us." He sat down, looking over every member of the counsel at the table. "But we can help in other ways. We could provide food and shelter to the survivors and utility and logistics help to those who are combating this virus. I'll talk to the GSU and they other factions to see how we can lend our services without getting our army involved." There was a pause till Phoenix coughed and scratched her temple. "We ummm... can't provide food to the survivors." Mortimus looked at her. "We have none. We don't need it." Mortimus nodded. "Good point." |

| The Imperium had heard only rumors about a militaristic society formed out of a former slave world of the now destroyed Demonic Crusade, given the countless reports by human citizens about this 'crusade' it was a chaotic series of skirmishes that ravaged the worlds of the 'Vass'Makeer' Sector, otherwise known as Eastern Sector or the Remnant sector as it's more commonly known.
Within this wretched sector of space lies Necronis,a dead world by the empire's standards and thought abandoned by whatever life once thrived there, the Varanus never did explore the sector for fear of provoking the demonic crusade and gain a enemy they where woefully unprepared for.
Yet the Empire received signals and was drawn to the once thought dead world....The message whilst weak spoke of the Stratocracy offering aid against the Helix Campaign....The Imperial Court unwilling to let such aid slip away sent a diplomatic force to Necronis to discuss a pact against the machines.
---------
A single Imperial frigate appeared outside the planet atmosphere and started it's descent, becoming lost in the thick green mist that chocked the planet atmosphere. The viewports became clouded until it found a sliver break in the mists. For what little the crew on the bridge saw this world was dead....Ruins littered the planet and all indication of flora was rotten and decayed. What kind of being can thrive in such a dead world was a question asked by many aboard the INS 'Star Hunter' the local star seemed to struggle to pierce the mist making many wonder if the planet was even habitable.
As customary to Xeno-Diplomacy the Imperial diplomats had equipment aboard to help traverse various terrains and allow interaction should need be.The diplomat chosen to represent the interests of the Court and the Crown was the teal-scaled Baron Ter'Mask Vekesi who helped broker a deal between the Empire and now defunct Inquisitorial Reich extremists that refused to join the brothers after the Viscount proposed them a similar offer. Flanking him on both sides where the Zikah Guard clad in their alabaster white power armour, brandishing their vanaksite spears whilst their minds scoured ahead for danger.
The Imperial ship opened a communications channel and called out for whomever sent the message and asking for a location to land. |

| Deep in the bowels of Necronis' main orbital observation center, a woman stared at a screen in amazement. Her name was Kealix and she was a first generation Nekrax, born before the demonic crusade. She knew well the events of the war and had accepted her home world to be a isolated ruin, out of the minds of any other government or faction. But now... now there were strangers in orbit. With deathly steady hands she patched a message to the Lords for orders. Soon enough, the orders came: let them land. Opening communications she spoke out to the ship. "Unclassified vessel, make your way to Skolvard, docking bay 2. A cohort will be there to escort you to the Lords." Closing coms she stood, grabbing a crutch that was leaning against her desk. Slowly she made her way out the room, hopping on one leg to the large metal doors.
Lord Mortimus Vrax walked briskly down a dark metal corridor. Gone was the dusty leather jacket and hat. Now, dressed in a fine trench coat, peaked cap and gas mask, he made his way to docking bay 2. The Lords had received the message and as the one with the most experience with the new galaxy, he would be the one to meet the strangers. Beside him marched an escort of eight Nekrax soldiers, dressed in dull grey combat armor and trench coats with gas masks. They moved silently, not a single breath passed their lips as they moved. This second generation of Nekrax were far more human. If fact they were, in every way except the fact that they were dead. Cloned from first gen DNA, they also suffered the demon's curse, just without the rot and war wounds.
A hiss of air and the large doors at the end of the tunnel opened, letting in the cold, polluted air. All around the landing pad stood factories of moving pistons and gears. Gargantuan smoke stacks pierced the sky, pumping raw waist into the long dead atmosphere. Here they stood and waited, eyes fixed on the murky sky. |

| The Imperial vessel made it's way to Skolvard, using tracking scanners to locate docking bay two among the collection of ruins and factories.
"My lord.....It's time." Said the ship Commodore and bowed his head.
"The planetary atmosphere is dense with toxins pumped by the factories of this world...The air is breathable but we advise using rebreather my lord." Said one of the Ensigns. "Who knows what bacterium thrives on this Zodarrin world."
The Reptilian baron nodded and turned towards the bridge exit, followed closely by the Zikah guards. The baron was taken to his private quarters where two human deckhands stood ready to help fasten his thermal chestplate, rebreather and xeno-suit.Which was a self shaping jumpsuit made from alien fabrics, leathers and gel to reduce friction from prolonged wear. The servants hurried their work not saying a single word and nodding to one another as they systematically covered the lizard in the suit, applied the thermal chestplate and gave the rebreather to the Varanus noble.
The noble sighed, breathing deeply before placing the rebreather against his muzzled face, the rebreather expanded, adjusting itself to his face and with a hiss pressurized itself in place. The visor lit up as the HUD system bombarded an array of information about the room atmosphere on the left side of the visor and the filter status on the right before it dimmed into nothingness allowing the noble to see the room. He hated that....It always felt like drowning while the visor adjusted.....But the moment has passed..Time for action.
--------------------------
The frigate's lights could be seen above Skolvard,it maintained it's distance above the docking bay opening it's hangars to allow a dropship followed by two starlike fighters to make it's way to the docking bay.The blue hue of their engines lit the lime green mists of the air as it hovered above the bay and began as slow descent to the concrete ground. The baron was eager to meet these Nekrax....Unaware that they where in fact undead beings that defied his race's religious teachings.....His visit would be a interesting one among the many diplomatic visits the empire and it's predecessor had done in this galaxy.
The ship shook as it landed.
------------------------------------
Within seconds the doors opened and the Zikah guard exited into the bay, forming a half circle formation facing the masked aliens. The baron exited his bronze-like jumpsuit standing out from the white armours of the guard,he adjusted himself and stretched his dragonlike wings while the wingless guard kept a slitted watch on the waiting Nekrax. As the baron stepped forward the guard almost in perfect sync marched forward their spears aimed at the sky. Only a sliver was open in their formation that allowed view of the baron followed by the occasional hiss of air as the visor would cycle filters.
He would stop a respectable distance from Vrax and his troops and bowed his horned head.
"Greetings Zodarrin-Ka.....I am Baron Ter'Mask of clan Vekesi, representing the Serpentum Imperium and the Imperial Crown." |

| Mortimus was slightly taken back. He had seen many of the galaxies races during his brief travels beyond Necronis. He had seen elves, humans, robots, cat people but he'd never seen this race of draconic reptiles before. As the Baron finished introducing himself, Mortimus nodded slightly and the troops behind him shot to attention, their hard leather boots creaking on the iron floor. They brought their rifles to their arms, standing straight with glinting bayonets pointed upwards like the visitors spears. Mortimus stepped forward, bringing his fist to his chest in a militaristic salute. His voice was cold and dry, made even more harsh under the gas mask.
"You are very welcome here Baron. I am Lord Mortimus Vrax, emissary of The Necronis Stratocracy. It is my job to integrate Necronis with the rest of the galaxy. "
With a slight hand signal, the Nekrax guards copied the salute with equal bravado, their fists hitting their armored chests. Mortmus continued:
"It is comforting to know that the galaxy hasn't completely forgotten us. Shall we head inside, i understand the air can be a little... toxic. It would also be a far more suitable place to discuss matters."
With that, the troops turned to face the hanger door, standing in two blocks of four, still at attention as Mortimus invited the Baron to walk beside him. |

| The Nekrax seemed honourable, they appeared humanoid in shape and wore uniforms the reptilian would compare to that the Inquisitorial Reich once wore.He was even more amazed at what seemed to be a hardy and resilient people given from what he had seen of the planet thus far.
He adhered to Lord Mortimus's request and walked beside him,the guard would follow at a respectable yet decisive distance, remaining silent with faint breaths being filtered from their power helms. The concrete flooring gave way to a foyer of iron and steel towards what seemed to be a large complex where the Nekrax resided in.
"In truth Lord Vrax..We of the empire considered your world...Dead...The few reports the humans gave us regarding Necronis suggested that the world was eradicated by demons much like the world of Tantir....Given the events of the past four years I would like to apologize on behalf of the Imperium for not conducting exploration earlier....This planet is more wartorn then Sabaton-40X. I understand that the Helix Virus and it's robotic hordes haven't troubled your people yet?" The Baron would hiss under the filtration mask as he followed Mortimus into the facility. He would glance around the as they entered taking note of the small details that told a shred of history regarding the place. "Your 'Krell'...Your people fought these...Demons?....I keep hearing so much about in reports and documents regarding this Demonic Crusade..." He would ask out of the curiosity his race naturally possessed. |

| Creaking leather and thudding boots echo down the steel halls, lit by harsh, yellowy light bulbs. Morimus walks with his hand behind his back, his long coat flapping around him in the faint wind that travels down the halls. "Its quite alright Baron. To be honest, Necronis is dead by all terms of the definition. The only reason we survive here at all is due to the demons." They walk through a large room where many figures move from one door to another. Most are dressed in similar military armor and masks. The rest wear a uniform of dark robes with deep hoods or military styled overalls. Despite the mass of movement there is little sound except the rustling of cloth and echoing footsteps. "Its is true that Necronis used to be a human colony, very similar to their home world. When the Demons attacked, many planets and colonies fell. We fought on. Despite the terrible loss of lives and destruction to our home we fought the demon threat. In orbit, in the air, in the sea and finally, in the vast network of trenches that cover the land. You may have seen them as you came in." The group walked through a set of tall steel doors guarded by two soldiers, into a vast room with a large circular table. A sickly beam of yellow light illuminates the table, rendering the rest of the room dark. A man dressed in long black robes bows to the group before offering seats to the group. Once Mortimus and the Baron are seated, Mortimus continues. "We held them for years. Vast swathes of land were lost to their twisted domain but we still fought. The demons got lazy, bored and so released a corruption. A horrific virus that twisted every living thing on the planet, turning them into rotting, toxic mimics." His voice lowers. "Even the people were affected. Wounds would not heal. Blood no longer ran in our veins. Skin blistered and rotted but we lived on. Some when mad. Some soldiered on. The demons sat on their laurels, content with their twisted work. Only recently, with the rise of The Necronis Stratocracy, have we been able to reform and reorganize, driving the last of that infernal race off our world." The man in the robes returned, offering the Baron a drink. Some thing alcoholic and thick. He doesn't offer anyone else. As he turned to leave, the light caught his face, revealing only one eye, flaking skin and a missing jaw. |

| Despite the Baron's outburst, Mortimus remained deathly still. His body did not rise and fall as breath should. Once the Baron had apologized and began discussions on the Helix Virus; Mortimus reached for his own gas mask. Undoing the seal made no sound, no release of compressed air as he pulled it away revealing a dirty white skull sitting on a spine within the armor.
"It is quite alright Baron; your reaction isn't the worst my people have suffered. I appreciate that all beings have a right to what they believe and what faiths they follow. I do not condemn them for it. All i ask from them in return is to understand that we did not ask for this corruption. Not everyone took to it so... well. Yes, we are undead. Yes, we must clone our race to survive. But no, we are not mindless shambling zombies under the thumb of some necromancer. We are our own people." He gestured to the hooded servant who looked up at the Baron in a respectable bow before leaving. Throughout his speech, Mortimus' jaw moved up and down like it would in life with no muscles or tissues. His voiced remained dry and cold but friendly.
"As for this Helix Virus; the counsel of Lords have already discussed the matter a few weeks ago and it was resolved that we would all we could to help. Unfortunately, due to our... condition, we cannot provide shelter or supplies to the refugees or troops. All we can offer is our armies and officers. We have been looking for a way to integrate ourselves with other governments in the galaxy, to provide aid and raise awareness. Perhaps through yourself and your Imperium, we can achieve that. Naturally if there is anything we can do to make our presence less... off putting then we are happy to oblige." |

| The Baron nodded, and after a brief moment of silence spoke once again.
"There is no reason to hide your appearance under masks.....In truth it's more unsettling not having to face the truth then to see a corpse defying death at the end of a table....The Court may have troubles understanding this but we have already come to terms with change....This galaxy has tested many roots of traditional thinking,we already paid the price for ignorance perhaps the Court will view your people with much more enthusiasm after proving your mettle in battle...Perhaps not...We are many and different....Without the single vision of the Emperor things have been slow.We have already integrated thousands of refugees into our population but remain in need of warriors and soldiers....This war is like a machine that requires blood to continue....Only we organics are paying that price...."
The Baron glanced at the drink and took a small sip.
"I would be happy to place your request forward to the Court and welcome you to the galactic community with open arms and mutual friendship...If I may could I inspect some of your troops and weaponry as we discuss this further?" |

| "Of course, if you would like to follow me." Mortmus spoke, his jaw animated. He stood and led the Baron to a door off to the east of the room. He opened in and walked down a long steel corridor to another set of doors at the end. He pushed in a code and the door unlocked with a hiss, letting in air form the outside. The room on the other side was large and semi circular. In the middle was a round table with a map of the known universe etched into it and lit with faint yellow lights. As they walked in, a servant in a hooded robe was using some kind of power tool to etch new planets and routes into the table. The rooms flat wall had an opening which led to a balcony. Mortimus stepped on and invited the Baron to join him. Below was a huge courtyard, cracked concrete slabs as the floor and surrounded by tall steel walls, guarded by troops in long coats and gas masks, carrying firearms with long barrels. The sounds of clashing steel and high powered projectile weaponry fill the air as below, in the court was at least 200 troops dressed in various states of armor from full to just tough leather trousers. Some were sparring, using fists, knifes or bayonets on their rifles. Some were on firing ranges, standing, kneeling, laying down as they fired shots into targets at different distances. A group in the corner, dressed in full armor and masks, took turns carrying each other through an obstacle course of fire, mud and rubble. Many of the troops looked mostly human with misty, dead eyes. Others wore wounds and rot as a sign of experience and rank. Mortimus called out into the court: "7th company! Alert and Attention!" Instantly, all troops in the yard stopped and faced the balcony, standing to attention. |

| The Baron followed Vrax to yet another door, the two Zikah guards followed.
The doors opened letting in the air from the outside,it smelt like burnt hair and made the Baron's lungs feel like it was being pressed. He coughed heavily before one of the Zikah guards rushed forward to apply the resperator he forgot on the table. The mask adjusted itself around his face and hissed as the filtration system activated. He breathed heavily and continued following Vrax.
He joined Vrax on the balcony to see a well disciplined force training in the vast courtyard turned training field. They seemed well developed as a industrial fighting force but their mettle was yet to be tested in a battlefield. They seemed to react instantly to the command of Vrax with such cohesion one would mistake them for being part of the Serpentum Legion.
Most Varanus nobles had some form of military service before they rose to the upper class and Baron Vekesi was a Legate in the 9th Legion and fought the rebels during the civil war of succession a mere two years ago. He was impressed at the Nekrax and jealous of Vrax's position as a commander of soldiers...A position Vekesi could rarely exercise within the halls of the Court.
-------
"Impressive Lord Vrax.....But have these soldiers fought anything besides Demons?" He would ask out of curiosity.
"The Helix Joor'jka are much more armed and cunning compared to demons and their magics...Theirs is not a war of bloodshed but simply one of calculated genocide of organic life..." He would look up to the misty yellow skies.
"What of your naval fleets?" |

| Mortimus nodded, understanding where the Baron was coming from. "All of the soldiers you see here are second generation. I'm not going to lie to you, they have yet to see battle against anything except demons. Some of us older nekrax, we of the first generation have seen battle against demons and even other races of the galaxy though much of that history is lost. What you see before you is just one company of 33, each with 200 troops. Yes, they are green in battle but our... condition makes us very hard to kill as you can imagine. There are also a number of elite companies, 34,35 and 36, who are part of a new strain of our race. The details are classified I'm afraid. " Mortimus followed the barons gaze to the green hued sky, rolling black clouds and a few spots of acid rain. "Our fleet is 40 ships strong, more than enough to carry our troops and hold their own in battle. We have certain... methods that may give an advantage in battle against this virus." As he talked, the gate to the courtyard opened, revealing a huge armoured vehicle. Covered in cannons and thick plating, it rumbled over the yard cracking a few of the flagstones as it passed under the balcony, riding down a sloping ramp under the building. Walking along side it were mechanics, dressing in oily jumpsuits with gas masks. |

| The rumbling of the tank shook the balcony and the loose parts of the Zikah Power armour shook alongside it.
Impressed at the sheer practical might the Nekrax fielded the Baron smiled a grin hidden under his rebreather. He took a moment patting his right hand claws against the railing of the balcony,he then nodded and turned to Vrax.
"How long will it take for your forces to mobilize?" He asked the question that the Grand Imperator would no doubt ask of him when he delivers his report to the Court. |

| Of Mortimus could a smile, he would of. He turnedid to the troops: "At ease!" The soldiers returned to their training, sparing and shooting. With out looking back at the Baron, he spoke again. "We can be ready in two days, three if you require us to bring our heavy support." He nodded as beyond the wall, another rank rolled by, thiand time off into the city, kicking up mud and dust as it went. He turned back to the Baron, his skull gleaming in the harsh floodlights as rain began to fall. |

| The Baron looked up at the sky as the rain pattered against his scales.
It's been years since he last stood in rain....It felt...wonderful.His mind raced back to the task at hand and he was reminded of the weariness of war.
"Very good.....Besides our aid of introducing the Necronis Statocracy into the galactic community may I ask if there are any other goals you wish to pursue....Humor my curiosity great Lord Vrax."
He looked back to Vrax.
While he waited for Vrax's answer he nodded to one of the Zikah guards who then proceeded to remove a small device from it's armour. The guard stood holding the handheld communications device waiting for Vrax and the Baron to finish their conversation. |

| Mortimus paused for a moment. For all the years he had spend in the galaxy as a lone agent lending his skills to those who needed it, he had always dreamed of his people growing and returning to some significance amongst the other governments and races. Ever since the fall of the demonic crusade he wanted the Nekrax to thrive and expand. To ally themselves with others, to lend their skills and cursed talents. He wanted nothing more than to see Necronis brought back to its former glory, as he remembered in when he still lived.
A sigh left his throat, silent from the lack of air passing through. Rained rolled over his skull and tickled down his coat. Yes, he wanted those things but times have changed. Now he was a lord, responsible for the fate of his people and that responsibility had restrictions. He turned back to the Baron, taking off his peaked cap, revealing his domed cranium, a number of cracks visible.
"All I will ask is that my people are recognised in the galaxy. We cannot trade for we have nothing to give except soldiers and instruments of war. We wish to be included in the affairs of the galaxy that we share. I also want to make it absolutely clear to both our allies and enemies; we are not strong diplomats or explorers. We are not scholars or followers of faith. The Nekrax are a people of war, born from the cinders of a demonic campaign. We fight because that is all we know. We offer our arms to the galaxy for we have nothing else to give." |

| The Baron looked at awe at the cracks and damage this Vrax maintained in his frame....He figured that this skeleton was old...perhaps older then the 924 year old Varanus noble....Perhaps this was prestigious scars carried from years of conflict,it wouldn't suprise the baron if both was true.
"Actions speak louder then words...as the humans say Lord Vrax.....Your people are molded by war.....It is your actions that will determine if your warriors rise into becoming something more......Guardians so to speak....We are not so different.Years ago in a galaxy far from here our own race was locked in endless warfare...It shaped the society we now practice, one of warriors we believed our path written in fate and divine......Then came the first age of rebound and our disasterous arrival in this galaxy."
The Baron's respirator hissed.
"I don't mean to bore you with our history." He motioned towards the Zikah Guard who held the communications device that sparkled in the light with the rain.
"A gift.....This tachyon communications device can send a message directly to the Eternal Eyrie if you ever need to contact the Imperial Court....Formal arrangements regarding a military alliance will be discussed amongst both parties military staff....." He held out a clawed hand hoping to do the so called handshake so popular amongst the human staff. |

| Mortmus looked at the device and back at the Baron. With a quick, fluid motion he placed his peaked cap back on his skull, rain splashing over his long coat. A trooper walked forward from the open doors to the balcony, saluted the Zikah Guard with a fist on his chest and accepted the communications device. Mortmus extended his own gloved hand gripped the Baron's, shaking it firmly. "Then we have an agreement." The hooded man with no jaw shuffled from the doorway, holding a tray with two cups of the thick alcoholic liquid. Mortimus picked one up and held it up in front of him. "To a successful and prosperous alliance and to the fall of the Helix Virus." He drank, the liquid splashing over his spine and coat collar. |

| Removing his rebreather.
The Baron followed hesitating for a split second before drinking the thick liquid. He did not ask what it was nor did he question the value of Vrax drinking it despite his condition,as a token of the highest respect the Vikah Baron obliged without a care for the effects it may have on his body.
Appearances of good will was a currency amongst the Court, the baron trusted Imperial medicine to banish any harm that would befoul him later yet he couldn't help but fade his smile as he forced the thick liquid down his throat, the liquid if one could even call it that was comparable to sludge and stuck to the sharp teeth of the Baron at one point.
As he finished the drink he would hand the glass back to the jawless robed figure. He then did his best to smile to Lord Vrax.
"Before I return to the Capital, tell me more about your role in this Stratocracy if you can indulge my curiosity Lord Vrax."

| "My role? Well, i'm one of the 20 Lords in the council of Necronis. After the demons conquered the planet, we survivors were forced to hide and run for survival. We had no leaders, no governments, no laws except those the demons imposed. It was only after the demons crusade was defeated did we begin to fight back. At first we were just a few groups of freedom fighters. We grew and united under one goal and understanding; the death of every demon on this planet and that we were survivors. The council was formed from the leaders of these groups of fighters. Before the demons came this planet was governed by a council of Lords so that it what we call ourselves." Mortimus looked out over the city. "I myself, didn't lead any of the groups. Nor was i here when we began to fight back against the demons. Instead i was travelling the galaxy. I was the first Nekrax to leave the planet and make our presence know to the universe. When i returned, i was offered a place on the council as a diplomat and ambassador for the rest of the galaxy. That is my role now; a bridge between the Stratocracy and other governments." He chuckled, looking down at his coat. "Though, i'm sure there are others more... appealing to look at who could do my job but I'm all there is." |

| "I see" The Baron nodded.
He turned towards the door. "Will you escort me out in the mean while I wish to know of your travels"
He reapplied the rebreather and began walking back into the complex with the Zikah Guard only following after the two entered the building once again. |
