Revereth walked along in the woods of Yustrillion. it was a nice world, one he often went to when he needed a break. The locals knew nothing of Dragons, but he didn't want to be the cause of legends on a planet. Too many questions from outsiders. The woods were nice, but he was here on... different matters. He had heard stories from the locals that there was a large, white scaled beast with wings in the area. He knew a dragon when he heard of one.

So here he was, trekking through a backwater world's jungle, looking for one of the only dragons he knew of. Maybe, just maybe, they would know where his parents' home was.

Johan Zyl:

Johan was sitting on Vinsue's back stroking his boxed beard with frustration as he scanned a old map made of a yellowish paper.......

They were lost,there was no indication of the temple they were looking for that contained an artifact an local collector was looking for.He and Vinsue had avoid the local villages in case they would try to attack the dragon out of fear. "Damn." he said with a hint of fatigue in his voice.For almost 2 days they had been exploring the maze of green bushes and jungles searching for that bloody temple.He then led Vinsue to a nearby river,it's cold rushing waters welcoming to the weary trio.

"Lets rest up and continue after a....10 minute break" Johan thought as he started to fill his canteen.He would constantly take out the map flipping it up and over,side to side only to end up more confused then he was before.Some of the landmarks are not longer present on the 1000-year old map and certain directions are written in a forgotten language.Johan would kick a small stone in his frustration.

"I feel like we are just wasting our time" he said as he sat on a stone placing his pack down and resting his muscles. "What do you think Vinsue?" he asked.

She laid down by the stream and let her rider off. he got off and filed his canteen as she started lapping up the water. it was nice to get off her acing feet for a bit. All that traveling and yet there was nothing to be found. "I agree we are wasting time. i thought that man was off a bit in his head." she laid down her head for a quick nap but a twig snapped. she immediately stood and looked for the source.

Revereth chuckled, before stepping into the open. "It seems that you found me." he said, holding his hands up. "I'm not looking for trouble." He looked at Vinsue, smiling. "And don't worry, I certainly have nothing against dragons." he thought. She was smaller than he would be, should he morph. He guessed she was younger, but she could just be smaller due to DNA. He glanced over at the man. "It seems you've found a rider, which is interesting considering that mostly everything in the galaxy hates us." he thought, frowning. He didn't look like a particularly niceperson, but then again, neither did Rev.

Johan dropped his canteen next to the riverbed and slung his rifle towards the sound....Out of the bushes a man walked,another human nonetheless wearing armor he recognized as not being of local stock.This immediately aroused suspicion to Johan,he also seemed eager to reveal himself something no human in his right mind would do unless they had a plan. "Careful Vinsue,this man might have a trick up his sleeve.He seems way to friendly."

Johan lowered his rifle slowly but was ready in-case this man would try something. "What is your business here?" Johan asked

"He is not human." she thought back to Johan. "yes I found a rider. One with a quick temper but good hunter. Corse you might want to talk aloud before her does something stupid like two leggeds tend to do." she thought to the stranger. "No need to worry about me. He seams to not like you" 

He cocked his head towards Johan, his smile dropping. "The only trick I have up my sleeve is that it would take both of you to kill me, and even that is only about a fifty percent chance you'll win. If I wanted to hurt either of you though, you'd already be on the ground with a bullet in your head. But my business isn't with you." he said. And then he looked back at Vinsue.

"It's nice to meet another Dragon after so long. Most of our kind are hiding after what happened with the Three. And I assume that since you know what I am, I don't need to hide it anymore." he smiled again as his body began to dissolve into a black wisp, which grew larger and larger as he dissipated. It began to reform, revealing dragon nearly twice Vinsue's size. He glanced at Johan.


"You wanted to know why I'm here?"

The man dissolved in a black shadow that grew larger and larger,until the man was replaced with great beast of an dragon clad in black scales,it glared at Johan and uttered in a near demonic voice.

"You wanted to know why I'm here?"

Johan grinned,his eyes wide as he glares back at his rifle now aimed high towards Rev's head. "I'm going to need a bigger gun" he thought." Then he lowers the rifle thinking back at Rev's earlier statement besides he wasn't too sure if he could harm him considering his never shot a dragon before,he also hopes he never has to.

"I assume you are here to speak to Vinsue?" he said "Do you know eachother?" he asked shortly after.He walked back to the river to refill his canteen.

"Dragons can take human form?" he thought to Vinsue.He placed his rifle next to a rock and sat on it to scan through the map again.

"Hey....other dragon are you by chance familiar with the area?" he asked with a glimmer of hope in his eyes

she watched his form change to one of her kind. She thought to john only "Johan some have been known to shift but i lost that ability when i was young. Stay by the stream ill be back for you in a bit. what he has to say is not for you. well talk later. Do not worry for me. ok?" She Looked at the black dragon standing before her. "Care to take a walk? Seems we have much to discuss." she thought to the other dragon.

Reverth gave Vinsue a low bow, his wings stretching to their full length. "Actually, I was more hoping we could fly. I spend too much time as a human walking as it is." He straightened himself, his wings folding against his back, as he glanced towards Johan. "Oh, and your rider can come too. He can't hear us unless you relay, and I trust you not to do that. Besides, the worst he can do is shoot me with that peashooter." He turned towards Vinsue again.  "Up to you, though."

Johan grinned at the fact he was ignored and continued trying to decipher the map,he took a glance at Vinsue "Be careful alright?"

He then took a sip from his canteen before looking at the map again. "Something,marked by springs of old,the skies shook and the gods cast upon the earth a mountain of steel and smoke.Always hungry the mountain consumed all who explored it,as it guarded a treasure of jewel and stone.A crown of the gods themselves was said to be at the centerpiece of the great temple" Arrgh where would it be....

He sat next to the river thinking while Vinsue and the other dragon took off.

She bowed in return. "He prefers to stay he has a few things he needs to do." She spread her wings and started flapping them as she took a few steps and leaped into the air. She hovered just above the Black dragon as she waited for him to do the same before taking to the higher skies. "What is your name and why do you seek me?" She asked as she felt the wind on her wings. Something she has not done in years, a thing that she missed.

He nodded, smiling as she told him. "Of course." he thought, watching as she leaped into the air. He followed suit, his wings snapping outwards as he took off,  following Vinsue's lead. "My name is Revereth. I sought you out because like any of our race, it's hard in this day and age to find those of our kind. More importantly, I'm looking for a set of coordinates. Outside of the Milky Way." he thought, waiting for a reply as he skimmed the bottom of a cloud.

The dragons left with a powerful gust of wind that blew the map out of Johan's hands into the riverbed,Johan looked up to the clouded sky of mist the dragons disappeared into and grinned. "Well there goes our payment." he thought as he quickly jumped into the shallow stream to pick up the soggy map.

He placed it against the rock he once sat on and inspected the damage,the map was now unreadable the landmarks faded and the text missing.Johan just stood there watching the map as his mind stormed with solutions to the problem........Then anger settled in

He looked back to the small stream and kicked a pebble towards it,the pebble bounced off the water to the opposite side of the riverbed.Then he picked up another rock and threw it towards the small mountainous outcropping that surrounded the opposite side of the river.The rock landed and started to bounce it's way back down.......Then Johan heard something unexpected.....

He heard the sound of the rock hitting metal.

He rushed towards the outcropping that was covered in vines,trees and bushes.He took his machete and started to cut away at the vines before his machete hit something hard....something that caused it to vibrate.He felt the outcropping and it was cold....it was truly metal of some sort.
Johan smiled.....He found the mysterious mountain of metal.

He then started looking for an entrance to the temple.It took him about half an hour to cut away at all the vines on the side of the small outcropping that hid a small doorway that was partially sealed by bend metallic door,"I'm small enough to fit through" he thought.

After struggling with getting his pack to fit the small about 60 cm hole created by the bend,he was inside a small hallway with another metallic door,he was taken by surprise not by the extra door but by the faded sign above it that read "AIRLOCK-2".......

"What is an airlock doing in a old temple?" he thought as he used the flashlight built into his rifle to find the switch to the other door.

Vinsue got up to the air currents and let them do the work flapping once every few minutes. "yes its quite a tragedy that there are so few of us left in this world. As far as I know I was one of the last to hatch. and that was over a hundred years ago." she dived threw a cloud than flew back up to the currents. "I have never been out side the milky way. so I would be of little help in that aria. But what are you looking for? Whats out there that you seek?" 

Revereth frowned as he watched Vinsue fly. She was only sticking to the thermals and updrafts. A curious flight pattern, but it wasn't of his concern. "It truly is. The place I'm looking for is of special concern to us. It's a legend. A planet outside the Milky Way where dragons are alone. We aren't persecuted. And I know it exists, because my parents were from that planet. They were killed before they could tell me. I was hoping another dragon might know, but you're even younger than I am. But while we're here, I'd like to chat. Where are you from?"

Johan found a lever next to the door,it took both his hands and some elbow grease but he was able to pull the dusty lever into place.The sealed door opened and Johan was met with a vast dark hall,he kept his rifle close its flashlight like a candle biting at the dusted shadows.

Johan coughed as the air was old and burning his lungs,he quickly removed a small breathing mask from his pack.It filtered out the dusty old air and allowed him to breathe with ease.He walked deeper into the shadows of the temple until he was met with a perculiar sight.The "temple" was filled with storage containers of a strange and alien metal.He tried to open one but failed and continued to move towards a large arched door which opened as he approached.....

Inside he saw skeletons of men and some reptilian like creatures in cracked hazard suits strewn about a small chamber leading to 4 different hallways.

"Well then" he thought "Which way to go....."

A land of us. she thought. she had no clue on how she felt of that. She had been attacked by her own kind, yet she had a few friends. She noticed that he disapproved of something but she did not know what. "probably Misteria. I was captured when I was young and was taken from my home and my planet. so I have no knowledge of were I'm from" She keep watching him. he was judging her flight patterns. "Why do you seem to not like how I fly?" 

He nodded as she spoke. "It's a shame that people would try and tame one of us. They act as though we are only beasts, like a dog, and treat us as prized... possessions. I truly hope your rider is better than that, that he treats you as a friend.' he said, closing his eyes, enjoying the cool air across his skin and wings as the flew. "I don't have any issue with how you fly. I just find it peculiar. But since you brought it up, why do you stick to the thermals and such?"

Johan stood unable to decide which of the 3 archways to take,eventually he played Eeny, meeny, miny, moe and picked the left archway.He breathed heavily and began to walk down the long corridor.The hallways seemed to get darker and darker as he went deeper into the temple.He reached an vast open hall with a sight he would never forget.Inside among the labyrinth of strange storage containers was a sea of bones and skeletons,some were local their steel armour rusted and banners torn while others were what he assumed were galactic treasure hunters their weapons strewn about the hall. "What on Earth?"


Johan slowly walked into the hallway and his heart sank as the hall echoed with the hum of energy,bright lights lit the hall making his flashlight obsolete.Then at the centre of the hall he saw what appeared to be an console and chair.He took several deep breaths and walked towards the console looking at the fallen skeletons around him and doing his best not to slip on their scattered bones.

"He is a good friend." she frowned at her past as he asked why she flew the way she did. "I have not hade the wind below my wings in 20 years. After the battle." She dropped her voice. shaking the memory. She slowed a bit as fear and other fillings came threw the connection. "Johan what's wrong" she thought to her rider as she stopped and hovered.

Johan neared the console,in the small seat was the remains of one the many reptilian skeletons clad in hazard suits,it had what appeared to be it's gasmask removed and placed on the circular table surrounding the console next to it.The skeleton itself lain strewn across the table and Johan gave it a slight push leading it to fall and shatter on the floor next to him.

"Johan what's wrong" He heard in his mind,it startled him as he was yet to get used to the telepathy they shared. "I've found the temple,but something isn't right here.The place is filled with skeletons of fallen explorers and some kind of reptile creatures I cannot identify,there is also some kind of computer....It quite the advanced temple it must have been built by another race or something...I am going to try and find the crown so we can get our payment and leave this planet." Johan began looking for whatever switch or key to activate the console.He found circular holes shallow and lit with a dim blue light in the shape of a palm of sorts and as Johan places his fingers on these shallow holes,the console flickered to life.Then holographic list appeared littered with strange symbols and some text he could make out.


"Welcome back Head Engineer Cl'anz please select action" Johan tapped on the top symbol and the screen changed to another list of text. "System corrupted.....Would you like a system scan to recover data." Two symbols appeared that signified yes or no,Johan chose the former.


"Scanning.......Scanning........Scan complete.......Ship hull breached.....Contacting bridge.......Bridge not responding.......Initiating lockdown protocol.......


The ship lights flickered red and a alarm sounded,then Johan heard the sound doors opening.He couldn't see which doors however and was surprised when he looked up to see an strange pole extending from an chamber in the center the roof.This pole began to hum with energy and Johan rushed for cover when the pole began firing strange arc's of energy towards him.


Johan ran for cover behind storage containers and readied his rifle,he fired potshots at the pole,disabling it as it exploded with bluish energy.Then he spotted small objects to the west flying towards him,Johan looked into his scope and saw that it was some kind of drones with deadly looking weapons.Johan began running back towards the entrance he came from,his heart racing as the Ja'Zari Drones closed in on him.

Ja'Zari Drones:

"I'm in a heap of trouble" he thought as he slid into cover behind an small halfwall that acted as a railing to the raised platform between him and the exit.He began firing on the drones hoping to slow them down.

"Sorrow kept me grounded. not fear." She answered than Johan answered back. "Wait to do anything tell i'm there." She thought back to him. "He found the temple" She turned and started flying back towards the spot they took off from. her rider than said he was in trouble. "He is in trouble" she than flew faster.

Revereth frowned at her words, but decided not to pry. If the sorrow was great enouugh to ground her, she likely didn't want it dredged up. A part of him remained crious, buut before he cold ask anything, she spoke again. "Alright. I'll help out how I can." he said. He doubted that two dragons cold fit in the temple, so as they landed, he materialized as a human, drawing his handguns. "Let's get this over with." he said, grinning.
