| A Sankiskan Engineering plant was hard at work. They had to pump out a massive beast of a siege engine for their Reich rulers. Some believed that this claim of the planet was unfair, but most after the demonic attack saw them as protectors of the people. This place in particular had a large amount of loyalty to the Reich, even allowing their Witchhunters to set up an outpost near the engineering plant.
High Inquisitor Penn was overlooking the project, both literally and figuratively. He stood above the working men, high above on scaffolds that overlooked the entire plant. The beast they were making frightened Penn to his core. With two massive, usually space-bound laser cannons, several high-power mortars, and a pair of heavy rotational cannons, this monster of engineering, known as the Invalidator, would come to be a sight to behold upon its completion. |

| The young and hopeful Neophyte Jason Anders, a Sansiskian native, stood beside the High Inquisitor. he had recently enlisted, and had been placed under the man's command. As of right now, he waited patiently, if ever excitedly, for the man's next orders. Eventually, his curiosity got the best of his, and he spoke up. "Excuse me, High Inquisitor, what exactly is it that they're building?" he asked
It seemed to be some sort of siege engine, or heavy tank, but he couldn't know for sure. Luckily, the production was happening here, a Reich-sympathetic city, rather than one like his own home which view them as conquerors. They were all ungrateful bastards. The Reich had saved them from the demon onslaught that had scarred so many of the troops stationed on the planet. He had even seen a few with cybernetic limbs. |

| High Inquisitor Penn patted the Neophyte on his shoulder. "My good Anders, what they are making is a statement. A statement to the people of this city and all the worlds of the Reich; either become loyal, or be invalidated. That is the name of it, I believe. The Invalidator class. A beautiful sight to behold, isn't it? They say that they will be finished by the end of the day."
~~~200 kilometers east~~~
Enough was enough.
They broke their bounds. They had finally reached the boiling point, and the ones posted to calm their fires merely joined them. The Reich army in Korunstak had merely.. blended into the rebellion. First it started with the looting and burning, where the Reich troops moved to attack. But as it would have been a civilian slaughter, the soldiers turned on one another, firing into their own ranks until the rebellious stood strong.
Several transport ships, filled with loyalist soldiers and civilians, were able to flee, but several others were shot down by the now taken anti-air systems. The gates of the city-state closed, as more guns were set up at its walls. A blue banner, with a golden set of wings, now flew in the city's center. They proclaimed themselves the Free People's Republic of Sankisk. The Reich would call them lessons as to why rebellion was a bad idea. |
| Anders knew how close his city was to rebelling. If he had known it would be today, he would have warned the Inquisition. They had saved him and his family from the demons, and he would be damned if he would let his upstart comrades try and chase them off. But alas, he did not know of the events unfolding in his city. Instead, he stood beside the High Inquisitor and smiled, blissfully ignorant of the fight that would come soon.
"The Invalidator class? Sounds menacing, Inquisitor. What does it do exactly? If, of course, you don't mind my curiosity. And is it true that we are soon to go to war? I yearn for battle, High Inquisitor. I would be honored to fight under you." he said, leaning over the railing, examining the construction process. Even with the Valkyries, the Sansisk people had much to learn from the Reich. |
| "The Invalidator is designed to breach any building, any wall, any bunker," High Inquisitor Penn stated, before painting at the front of the tank, where two massive cannons, "with those. Those cannons are usually saved for orbital defenses or attached to starships. A weapon of that magnitude in a land attack can only be found on this mighty beast. I will be the first to pilot it, and you, as my student, will follow me into battle wherever the Invalidator is needed."
Through the open factory doors, several Reich transport ships could be seen landing in quite a hurry, some with large bulletholes in their sides. As teams approached, their doors opened to reveal a flood of frightened soldiers and civilians. Their confusion was loud and obnoxious, and High Inquisitor Penn was now eager to figure out why they were so provoked. "Neophyte, come with me. Let us see what the commotion is about, yes?" Penn asked, beginning to step down the stairs to the ground floor.
