Whilst our initial group has been writing together for almost 6 years now, this site is just nearing it's first anniversary. On the 20th May 2016 'The Trial of Blue Flame' was posted to mark the start of this forum's storyline. Since then we've grown into a larger-than-anticipated, yet comfortable, community. To mark this anniversary month we're going to be rolling out new features through it as well as possible awards and events.

Introducing the Economy Section
A new section of the forum which will include the Bounty Board, Auction House and Marketplace. It will be located just above the Codex.

Bounty Board
Probably our first addition, the Bounty Board will be open for anyone to post Bounties on either other writer's characters (adhering to politeness and permission rules over killing), or on NPCs or monsters to create fun stories and threads.

Auction House
With more items being created each day, aswell as Artifacts becoming more prominent, the Auction House will allow people to sell their rare and unique goods in bidding wars. Ownership of Codex Submissions (Aka. Blueprints/Production Rights IC) can also be sold here.

Marketplace
A place for people and companies to list their items for sale. From Ships, to Mercenary Services, to full Armour shops. Anything your character can do or sell can be marketed here.

Economy
We will not be adding a set money number/system. Instead when you are buying/selling through the Economy Section you will provide proof that your character could realistically afford the item. For example, you could buy something on behalf of your faction which covers the cost, or you could mention a thread in which you close a profitable trade deal or stole 1,000,000 credits. The Seller decides whether you can afford the item, and they can use that sale to prove they have money for a purchase of their own.

Company Creation
As requested, we will be adding Company Creation to the Codex. Here you can create your company to be the manufacturer or owner of your submissions. By developing tech and writing threads for your company it can grow in Tiers, unlocking more production locations/offices, bigger manufacturing capabilities etc.

Tier VI Factions
A new Faction Tier will be introduced, requiring substantial development and time after Tier V, but lifting the planet limit. More specific details will follow with it's release.

3000+ Meter Ships
Along with Tier VI factions will be the prospect of 3000m-5000m ships, but these will not be easy to develop...

Shoot t6... So far away...

There's been some interest in a guild for thieves which could work into the company system, the fraction system, or as kind of a stand alone.  Not sure how the staff would interpret it.  I'd like for it to be able to grow in power and prestige but it's not going to have a military.  I see it as a shadowy organization that trades in financial, military, and government secrets; belonging to no faction and yet used by all.

Meant to mention this in the previous post.  The guild being a thieves guild would have axcess to all kinds of fun toys for bypassing security.  So, will I need a tier system to know what the guild is allowed to get their hands on?

I am going to assume, yes.
