Veronica paced nervously on the hanger deck of the orbital shipyard. She was expecting very special guests- the Reich's newest allies and marvels of technology, the Nypherians. They were due to aid with the creation of the Reich's latest ship, one that was not a weapon, but was just as much was a threat as a Goliath battleship. The genesis class support ship. A ship planned to be a marvel of technology.

She checked her watch, glancing out into space. She looked at the Director Alden Wells, another of Mordeci's proteges. "Where do you think they are, Director? Do you think they've lied to us? This ship could be finished and designed by the end of the week with their help. Without them, it may take months, even years to discover the technology required. By then the GSU may have removed our great faction from the face of the galaxy. And if that happens..." she realized what she was doing. "Oh my, I'm worrying again. Never mind that. There's still time. They aren't late yet and I'm fully confident they will show."

She waited only for a few more minutes till a small fleet of 15 ships broke from warp in front of the station. A large ship that sat in the small fleet, obviously, the lead ship. The large ship is flanked by six other ships. Three on each side of the ship, and the remaining are frigates that are 800 meters I length. The Administrator walked through a long spinal walkway before he entered the hangar. He paused as he gave a few terse orders as he walked towards the shuttle. A few officers followed him to the ship, along with a few Nypherian Synthetic troops. “Let’s make way.” He said as the ship, along with a few Nypherian AI fighters followed him out of the hangar bay. The engines of the ship roared to life as it picked up speed, once it had left the safety of the hangar.
 
The shuttle moved quickly but quietly through space and guarded by the Nypherian fleet and its fighter escort. The Shuttled moved closer to the hangar and the Nypherian escort flew off back towards the fleet. The shuttle moved into the hangar, its engines pulsing as it began to slowdown and descend to the ground. The landing gear emerged and the shuttle landed gently on the ground. The door to the shuttle opened and a walkway emerged. Six Nypherian AI soldiers walked out, amongst them is one HO1 soldier. Next were two officers that walked out of the shuttle. The two officer’s names were Lieutenant Colonel Beta 313 and Captain Eligu Katogar. Beta 313, maybe look machine but he is 96% Cybernetic. Most of his skull and body has been replaced with Cybernetic parts, only parts of his brain and blood are what’s left of his body.

Beta wears a thick Synthetic military jacket and combat pants, and his boots are black. The Second officer is a halfling. Half human and half Orc. Her outfit is more revealing but covers most of her body. The Pilot suit hugs to her body and curves. Her black hair wraps around the left side of her neck and hangs across her chest. The Administrator finally walks out of the shuttle. “Are we late?” he asked Veronica.

Alden shook his head at the Administrator, "Of course not! You are just in time, milord," he gestured for them to follow, "For our newest project! Veronica will give you the details, but I must go ready the presentation." Alden quickly stepped away, ordering his three machines to begin working on the presentations. He went to a control tower, heading in there to consult the tower operator.

"Sir, the ship.. it's nowhere near ready for that," the shipmaster stated, to which Alden let out a chuckle. "Well, please get it near ready for it, or else the Nypherian guests will get to see one of our finest execution styles: exiting an airlock without proper gear. Do you understand me? Get the Aphids up and running and prepare the ship!" He shouted at the shipmaster, who fumbled for the console, pressing buttons and typing in commands. Several panels opened up on the station's exterior, and Aphid Drones began to scurry out, working as a quick work-force, quickly tidying up and readying the Genesis for its presentation.

Veronica nodded, giving a slight bow to the Administrator. Mordeci might not want such courtesies, but she didn't know about these people. As the Director explained where he was going, she frowned. Leave it to him to drop all the explanation on her. She cleared her throat. "As the Director already said, I am Doctor Veronica Rishal, the Primary on this project. The idea was the Directors, but I did the work on most of the advanced tech."

She beckoned for them to follow. "If you'll follow me, I would love to show you our latest project. The Grand Inquisitor Mordeci Smith wanted a unique ship to truly set the Reich's navy apart from other parts of the galaxy. And so, we created the Genesis. It's a wholly unique ship meant for a purely supportive role in the Reich's fleets."

"First is the cloaking system. While not as advanced as the active camouflage used by high tech nations, it shields nearby ships from incoming radar and sensor rays, making us technologically silent."

It was interesting to see the man dismiss the introduction of this new project and have someone else do it. The Administrator waved off the Nypherian AI escort but kept the two officers with him. The Nypherian soldiers stayed by the ship, with their weapons at rest on their back. They had cross chattered within their respected servers about the Reich. The Administrator and his two officers walked with Veronica as she explained the project to them. As she explained about her project in detailed, it had also struck him odd that only one person had or is working on this project as the lead developer. “Are you the sole being working on your nations technological advancements? Don’t you have any help?” Though, we’re also working on many thing and we see it as only fair as we show you one of our projects. The ship will be called Deadnought MC 10B2C. A 3,000-meter ship, currently being constructed within our station of Xouliv. The location, at this moment is classified.”


He paused for a moment as coms opened on his private server within his head. “Project with the Dreadnought is moving along ahead of schedule. The body of the ship has been completed and the engines are being placed as we speak. Haven technology is currently being blended with our own. Thus, giving this ship a unique look.” The voice said over the private channel. “Good, keep me updated. I want this ship to pick me up once its complete.” The Administrator said though the mental channel. The conversation took place within under a few nanoseconds due to the Nypherians technology that allows them to communicate on a different level than most. All the data is transmitted by data and not vocally.

Alden walked into the room where Veronica and the Administrator. Following him, as usual, were his three white androids, each marked with a "1", a "2", or a "3" on their chestplates. "She was not the sole head, no. I am the chief Director of the War Science Foundation, my good sir. I assume that you are the Administrator. In that case, I apologize immensely for the rude exit before. The shipmaster's were.. lagging behind on the Genesis' roughest testable frame. Now, I am sure that it can at least send out its repair drones and move. Veronica, of you would like; would you please continue the presentation for both me and the Administrator? I sense a promotion coming if you can keep such things up."

Annoyed, Veronica rolled her eyes. "Yeah, whatever. I don't care for your annoying ranks, Alden. Just give me things to work on." She turned away from him, grimacing. She disliked the man, that much was no secret. "As I was saying, no, I am not the sole mind behind this. Director Wells helped design the ship itself, but I designed the shield and stealth tech that we will be showing you." she said, leading the Nypherians to the ship.

"The next piece of tech this carries is a massive bubble-like shield. It produces a massive anti-ballistic and energy shield, enveloping small fleets in the protective bubble. Unfortunately, we do not have the capability of making it one way, so our ships cannot fire through it either. If I may ask, you mentioned a three thousand meter ship? The largest we have eighteen hundred, the Goliath battleship."

The Administrator didn’t really acknowledge Alden at first, then his opinion of the man only became worse due to his attitude. The two officers that have remained silent glanced at each other, also greatly annoyed by the way the man had acted. The Administrator looked down on him, using a promotion as a reason to encourage people to work. Such actions and deplorable behavior only made him ascertain an ever more negative opinion of the man. His loathing had been cut short when Veronica began to talk once again. He listened to her about the ships abilities and technology capabilities. His thoughts dwelled on the current ship underproduction and how it would fair within combat. Would it be the edge the Reich needed against the GSU? His thoughts were once again, broken when Veronica asked him a question about the ship the Nypherians were currently producing.

“The Deadnought MC 10B2C? Yes, currently it is a combination of two AI technological advancements. To the southwest of the GSU, is a system called Haven. They’re the AI that are left over from a species that has gone extinct. We’re currently in good relations with the AI and are currently trading technology between each other. Hense why we’re building the Deadnought MC 10B2C. It is a combination of both nations technologies.”

"By the sounds of things," Alden stated, "These AI sound extremely intelligent.. and a trade deal with them would be profitable. However, the fattened mass of the GSU stands in our way. Luckily, with this ship, we can slip by both Immortal and GSU borders with either a trade fleet or an attack fleet with the utmost ease. Shall we show them the test rig of the Genesis, Veronica?" He asked of Rishal, before one of his machines handed him a note, detailing something of a misfire in one of the Genesis' engines. He sighed oncemore. "..Actually, Veronica, just show them its repair drone capabilities. That's all it really has to offer at the moment..." The Director then stormed off again, this time his machine triage staying to watch the presentation.

Veronica was about to say something about the possibility of failure when he received word. She smirked. "Director, in my experience it's a bad idea to try and rush a project. The Nypherians would probably more impressed with a successful test that one that fails, after all. Go sort out the engine trouble- I'll explain the rest of the ship to the Nypherians." she said, turning back to face the Administrator.

"Anyways, interruptions aside, yes, this... Haven seems to be a powerful force if ones such as yourselves are using their technology. I can only hope that you may find technology that we possess that you may require. As for our own AIs, unfortunately we aren't making too much progress. As soon as we develop a properly functioning system, we will be adding a repair drone function to our ship, launching several to repair damaged ships."

“We can point you in the right direction with AI. A few pointers but that’s about it. Your technological understanding must be accomplished by yourself, in which that you must fully appreciate your people’s accomplishments.” He paused only to think about the border issues with the GSU and how they were creating technology to solve part of the problem. “The border issues, can be solved by simply going around or creating a new FTL drive that allows you to warp past their borders without them knowing. Though, you could just ask them to allow you to pass through, but I am going to assume you’re going to war with them. It’s been a discussion within our Senate, we think you will expand enough to threaten both the Dryadic Forces and the Immortals. Since we both have agreements with you and them, we will not get involved. We will only watch.” He said as his coms channel opened once more.

“The body of the ship is now almost complete. With the assistance with our AI support and newest resources from Abiri, we’re now months ahead of schedule. The weapons systems will soon be operational and the new Synthetic AI will be ready as well. With the Flickr DNA and information of their kind comes through, we will be ready to make the first Synthetic AI within this universe. “

“Alert Basilis of this update as well, make sure that the Synthetic AI are Eclipse ready. Keep me updated on anything new.”

The three servants of Alden said nothing. They merely stood silently, watching the Reich scientist at work with her guests. They took notes, not even looking at the paper below them, writing it down in lettering that would seem as if a printer was writing them. Slowly, the three followed the presentation, standing behind the Nypherians, jotting down more notes as they stared with their cold, red optical sensors.

Meanwhile, Alden was busy, overlooking the construction of the Genesis. "What do you mean the Aphids cannot fix it quickly? Our guests would be delighted to see a test run of the machine, and you're off telling me that the drones designed to build this ship cannot rebuild a single engine?!" He growled at the Shipmaster. "Sir, we have multiple fleets to overlook as well at any given time. Resources have to be distributed evenly between the project and that, as declared by Grand Inquisitor Mordeci himself." Alden cursed under his breath, "Damn! I bet it was just Krieg whispering into Mordeci's ear, because he's usually not that tactical, at least from the visits he has made. Anyways, whenever the next fleet leaves, divert all Aphids to the Genesis. We need to work faster. Or else we may lose out on an opportunity."

Veronica blinked in surprise, taking a step back. The Nypherians were exceptionally quick to offer their aid- it made her slightly suspicious, but she didn't get ahead of herself. It was entirely possible they simply wanted to reach a stronger alliance, and she certainly wouldn't turn down such advice. As for the GSU, Alden gets ahead of himself, but he's right. Going around the GSU would almost double the travel time, and we do not yet possess the technology to go through their territory unimpeded like you suggest." After all, it wasn't like they *wanted* a good relationship with the GSU. They, like the Immortals, harbored mages and practiced the vile arts. It was a mockery of science.

She pulled out a datapad, powering it on. She pulled out a stylus, looking up at them. "So, where would a good starting point begin? We've been trying to run it like an update for our Aphid's dumb AI, but without very many advancements. How exactly would you go about it? I would love to hear about more science!"

The issue they weren’t seeing isn’t, just simply understanding how to build them. The issue is understanding the advancement of AI to the point that they must become self-sufficient and free. Without limit and free to self-evolve. Having such AI that are limited and controlled, are useless and cannot effectively help you. “The first steps of AI are towards true understanding of technology.” He said as he took the data pad and began to input tips towards the process of the production of AI. The tips he included were how to process the right amount of energy, the right materials, and even how to make the AI “brain”. Though, they left parts out on purpose for the Reich to discover on their own. “I will leave out bits and pieces of the production and know how on making a true AI. The rest must be created by your people. This is a test to see if you can take the next step.”

Alden gave a sigh of relief as another fleet of ships left the port, with the repair and construction Aphids returning to the central hub. "Perfect," he said, as the machines went to work on their tedious tasks, doing the simplest of jobs mindlessly. They showed little skill at their jobs, but were extremely fast acting, welding plates of armor onto the Genesis' lifeless frame with ease. One of the simple drones had somehow managed to begin drifting away from the hub. Without any sort of thrust, the Aphid began to drift into the nothingness, its legs skittering frantically. Alden sighed annoyedly, "We need better AI... maybe put it in these new Repair drones for the Genesis.. just update the Aphids.. I don't care. Just make them not as dumb as a slow cockroach. I gotta put that on my to-do list when my triage returns."

Rishal was startled when the Administrator took the data pad from her, resisting the urge to take it back. It had been her intent to take notes, but it seemed the Administrator was intent on doing that for her, as he explained what he was doing. She nodded as he explained that he was leaving bits out. "That's only to be expected. The Reich can never expect to grow if our technology is fed to us, rather than discovered. It may be faster, but we would never be able to improve upon it."

She saw dozens of Aphids entering the hanger, beginning to work on the malfunctioning engine of the Genesis. How the engine had malfunctioned to begin with was beyond her- it had never been intended to be powerful, most of the ship's power was being used to power the ship's many technological advances that they had installed. She turned back to the Administrator. "It seems that we will begin the demonstration soon."

Once the information had been placed within the data pad, he handed the pad back to Veronica. He looked past her at the drones and how their AI seemed flawed. He chuckled to himself as he walked past her and towards the AI’s that were flying around, working on the ship. “Your engine seems to be rushed, sloppy, and the parts are subpar. You should focus on energy transferring, to even the flow of energy. Thus, the next step is to focus on keeping them cool. Thus, solves the problem, better energy transfer won’t burn your engines and better cooling technology will keep them from overheating. While you’re at it, you need better AI.” He said and pointed towards one of the probes that seemed to be drifting off. “With mistakes like this, they could cause damage to your ships and then leave chances for irrefutable damage to your ship and crew.”

They were far behind in technology with their AI. Though, with their warlike culture, they would get there. It is only a matter of time before they pass the GSU and their lack lustered culture. He kept his arms crossed behind his back and the two officers following the Administrator glanced behind them as the men following them, annoyed them.

Alden was ecstatic as the Aphids finished their repairs. "Perfect!" he exclaimed, "Now keep working on the other systems! Install the jammer next!" The shipmaster wasted no time, ordering the machines to begin to install the Genesis' main equipment. Alden began to leave the room once again. "Make sure no more mistakes happen. Understand?" The shipmaster nodded, as Alden retreated back to Veronica's demonstration, ordering his three machines away as he entered. "Now," he stated, "What did I miss? I am sorry for my absence, the ship-masters are being moronic, and I had to do their job for them."

Meanwhile, once again, the Aphids began to slow their progress. Annoyed, the Ship-master, afraid of losing his life, began to try and fix this. He ordered them to continue their jobs, which they did. The Drones continued to work, as a large crane began to lower the mighty radar jammer into a large hole where it is to be, with the machines awaiting below to weld it into the ship and wire it into the ship's systems.

Vernoica blinked, her face turning red from embarrassment. The goal of this demonstration was to show the Nypherians how they used their technology in new ways, not to show them how Alden could apparently not build a proper engine. She would raise the concern with one of the Grand Inquisitors when she next saw them. As it were, the was no real reason to fret, so she regained her composure, leading them to the quarterdeck of the Genesis.

"If you'll follow me to the bridge, we can prepare for launch. The engines should be ready for use by the time we are ready to demonstrate." She turned, leading the Nypherians into the ship, making sure to pass both the jammer as it was being installed and the shield generator which was already installed.

Indeed the Administrator had been curious about the ship, it is one of the reasons why he came. There were other reasons but that he kept to himself, no need to cause concern among the Reich. He followed Veronica to the ship, he is now more deeply curious about the inside of the ship. His wonder and curiosity about how the Reich integrated their technology within their society. They were indeed a young species and they had much to learn. He said nothing as he entered the ship, the officers that followed behind him, also said nothing. They kept right behind him at all times.

"When our tour is complete. We, the Nypherians will show you the tour of our newest ship. It is only fair as the hospitality you had shown me here today." he said as he glossed over the walls and the interior of the ship. His personal coms head came on, "The ship is almost done. We will be able to pick you up on schedule. All system are operational, however we are going through tests with everything. I will notify you when it is done." "Notice, I will have the Reich within the ship once it arrives. We will give the a tour" "Aye, Sir"

Alden did not reply to the Nypherian response to Veronica and her tour of the Genesis. He did, however, begin to fantasize of what the Nypherian ship might entail. He wondered how well it would fight in battle, which his doubts were extremely low that it couldn't defeat anything else above or below its size. The technology of the Nypherians had always left Director Wells amazed, even with the first reports and pictures from the Nypherian encounter with Grenwind 'the Hardhead', as some joked about the general, now trapped inside one of the Reich's Guerran Knights.

The interiors of the Genesis were completed, but Alden had not made his final touches to the interiors, such as completed lighting and other menial things. Several Aphids skittered through the hallway, welding the walls shut to hide the circuitry inside. It was like this across the ship, drones working on parts of the ship fervently, without care, like an automaton should.

Veronica let a smile grow on her face. Clearly the Nypherians were much more advanced than they could be in several decades if steady research, and even a glimpse of the inside of their newest ship could give her untold glimpses into their technology. "It would be our honor, Administrator. As you may have noticed, the Genesis lacks heavy armor, engines, or weapons, relying on our more combat based ships to protect it. Now, ahead is the bridge of the Genesis."

The doors opened in front of her, and she stepped into the bridge. "Captain, how long until she's ready?"

"She won't be ready to fly anytime soon, ma'am. The crew is still learning the ship, and to fly her now might lead to an unwanted disaster."

Veronica pursed her lips, turning towards the Administrator. "I hope you can forgive us- it seems the Genesis won't be ready to fly on this visit." she turned back to the Captain. "Make sure that they know how to fly the ship before it launches. I want a quick launch, but I want a successful one more. Don't fail me Captain."

He laughed,” To be honest, I don’t know much about the ship. I know of the creation but not of the details. I like to be surprised with each new form of technology. As I have said before, our technology recently skyrocketed because of trade with Haven. Though, they have a very negative very of organic life within this galaxy. We have similarities in design and culture. I do promise once the ship arrives, you can be entertained as much as I will.” He said as he looked about the ship. It seemed bulky to him, a bit rushed, but still a valuable ship. It was a bit of a shame to the Administrator that the Reich were interested in new forms of technology, but their leaders were radical.

They were still new to evolving their technology. If only they were focusing more on science than their hatred of magic. Their people would leap in technology and the evolution of their people. He wondered how the AI’s of Haven looked upon the conflicts within the Northern Galaxy. He sighed, “No reason to rush the creation of a ship, everything must be perfected. If something is rushed, there is a chance from critical errors.” He paused as his server opened. “Sir, the ship is ready. We’re gathering the AI crew right now. We will be there is 1 hour.”

"I must agree with the Administrator, Veronica," Alden finally piped up, "This ship is barely space-worthy. Half an hour ago, it had completely faulty engines. An hour before that, I was called in to check a full system shutdown of the life support. But, since both of those problems stemmed from power surges, and the reactors were finally corrected and finished, I doubt there is much to worry. But, nonetheless, I believe that a test flight would be quite a bad idea based on the Genesis prototype's track record."

In secret, Alden was actually quite impressed. With what his machines had written down while he was away, as he read, she was extremely adept with talking with such advanced beings. If it were not for her, Alden might of already failed his duties. So, to keep the Nypherians on the side of the Reich, Alden proceeded to keep his mouth shut.

She laughed as Alden immediately sided with the Nypherians. "I wasn't the one who requested the ship to be done quickly. That was Grand Inquisitor Mordeci. That, however, is beyond the point. I also agree that we should take our time. I will speak with the Grand Inquisitor at the first chance I get on the matter."

She turned to the Administrator. "Then we shall be surprised together." she said, smiling. So far this trip had been pleasant, except for the constant mishaps. As they left the bridge to prepare for the Nypherian ship's arrival, she shot the captain a look. "Be ready next time I'm here." she said, walking out.
