Because their physiology is based on sand, heavy amounts of water would generally weaken them.

Similar to the Rayyans, Neemans do not heal from damage they sustain.

Due to their animalistic nature, Neemans are rarely anything more than aggressive predators. They are obsessed with war and destruction and tend to attack any race that comes into contact with them. When left alone, however, they are relatively peaceful.

Neemans have always been an extremely aggressive race and generally are the race that causes the wars that have plagued the planet over the years. While the Neemans agreed to keep the peace and join the Elder Council, they were later expelled for their demands of planetary control, causing them to hate the other races to the point of attacking them on sight.
