| Name: Sleipnir Armour Owner: Project H&MCreator: Project H&MType: Full Body armour.Magic Resistance: 5Physical Resistance: 6Rarity: RareStrengths
- Armour: Due to the fact Sleipnir armour was reversed engineered from the vastly superior Mjolnir armour and then adapted for human usage it is no where near as potent as Mjolnir armour not will it ever be; after all normal humans can't run around carrying a battle tank's worth of armour. Despite that it does provide significantly more protection than the "average" armour given to front-line Galactic Systems Union soldiers.
- Shielding: Again despite lacking in the advanced protection of Mjolnir armour shielding the reversed engineered Sleipnir armour does in fact have shielding. It is no where near as potent as Mjolnir armour unable to take anywhere near as much damage before falling and takes a LOT longer to recharge. However at the end of the day it is still equipped with energy shielding.
- Adaptability: Due to the less complex systems in the Sleipnir armour, which is due to the fact it's Mjolnir armour designed to be for human usage, and the cheapness in its production Sleipnir armour is incredibly easy to customise and adapt for different missions. Hence why Project H&M have been hard at work designing numerous variants. The main reason behind Sleipnir armour's adaptability is because it is basically a frame worn by a soldier that then has armour attached to it. This means you can mix and match different armour for whatever job you need doing.
Weaknesses
- Lack of armour enhancements: Unlike Mjolnir armour Sleipnir armour is unable to support armour enhancements. The reason for this is because they simply do not have the energy levels for it. Additionally the armour lacks the radar system built or A.I port into the helmets of their big brother Mjolnir has. Still the human soldiers are rather grateful they don't share their head with an A.I
- Rarity: Sadly despite Sleipnir armour being a LOT cheaper than Mjolnir armour it is still immensely rare. The reason for this is because currently project H&M simply lack the facilities to mass produce the armour and as such are forced to "acquire" Mjolnir armour and create their variants from that. Of course people tend to notice when Mjolnir armour goes missing and so this has forced Project H&M to be immensely....careful.
- Lack of enhancements/general inferiority: Sadly due to how Sleipnir armour is made to be used for humans it has to carve away a LOT of the features Mjolnir armour is equipped with. As such there's no physical enhancements, no on screen HUD (It does have a binocular built in and night-vision) or any form of physical improvements the Mjolnir armour would bring. Basically it's a "budget Mjolnir armour" designed to be used for human usage hence the difference in overall potency.
DescriptionSleipnir armour is Project H&M's answer to the Mjolnir armour employed by the vastly more powerful Spartans. Due to being made from the exact same materials and the fact is is a scaled down version of Mjolnir armour it is much easier to produce both in terms of resources, skill and time investment. Sadly Project H&M are yet to present the results of their labour to the GSU as a whole and as such have been forced to reverse engineer their Sleipnir armour from Mjolnir armour..of course how they acquired the Mjolnir armour in the first place is a question better left unanswered. The secret matters of a project as unethical as H&M are something that should be left buried especially when they involve acts which border on war crimes and treason. What the armour does is really rather simple: Protect the user and enhance mission performance. Sure it lacks the on screen HUD, shielding, armour and armour enhancements Mjolnir armour comes equipped with but it can be used by humans, offers increased protection over humans, is generally easier to produce in all regards and of course can be adapted a LOT more easily. The reason for this greater adaptability is because it's less complex. You don't have to worry about a Spartan's size or physiology. All you need to worry about is it fitting humans, being of a reasonable weight and of course meeting whatever job you need it to do. Additionally Sleipnir armour is a basic frame with pieces of armour attached to it hence the increased range of movement too. |
