Strengths
-Ormr are covered in heat-resistant scales, allowing them to traverse extreme heats, like the upper mantle of planets.
-They also have massive claws, allowing them to rip through ground, walls, and armor with ease.
-With a photographic memory, Ormr are keen on their surroundings.
-Using echolocation, the Ormr can safely traverse the magma without external eyes.
-With dangerous, venomous fangs, the Ormr can usually take on almost any prey.
Weaknesses
-Ormr are extremely sensitive to cold temperatures, sometimes dying when get in temperatures below freezing for long periods of time.
-If their matriarch dies, an Ormr colony will quickly fall into disarray, as the females begin to fight for dominance.
-As stated before, Ormr have no eyes. They cannot see as well as humans with their echolocation, which can be blurred by loud noises.
-If any gaps are made in the Ormr's armor via punctures, then slowly the creature will freeze to death.
Appearance
Ormr appear to be lizard-like aliens, with one set of muscular front legs, and is covered in many purple, dark red, or black pangolin-like scales. Its mouth is filled with several rows of small razor-sharp teeth, with a singular pair of long (2 inches for males, 4 inches for females) fangs on the top of their mouths.
Male Ormr usually grow up to ten feet long, having a small armored fluke at the end of their tail for display purposes.
Female Ormr grow up to 20 feet long, having significantly larger claws and scales than their male counterparts.
Matriarchs grow up to forty feet long, adapting a large crest of scales on their head, and their jaws growing in proportion to their bodies.
Culture
Ormr have a matriarchal society, with males placing themselves before their females and especially their matriarch, doing whatever she wants.
On a recently seeded planet, before the planet has a Matriarch, the Ormr are savage beasts, full of anger and hunger, killing for pleasure.
History
The Ormr have been known to permeate throughout the galaxy for thousands of years, seemingly thriving in any environment due to their ability to hide in the mantle of planets, and their durable armor. Several hundred planets have been seeded at least once by Ormr, after females somehow send themselves into space, surrounded in supercooled magma.
On one occasion, a Potrosi exotic pets salesman held several female and male Ormr in a large magma vat. During their time in the vat, one of the females ascended to Matriarch, and the Ormr quickly escaped after becoming organized, destroying the ship and fleeing to a nearby moon.
