Strengths
-Damage, the assault scope fires powerfull laser bolts, while this certainly does not aproach the strength of the laser scope it is still quite a punch.
-Fire rate, the main purpose of the assault scope was to have it help Cykx in their attack when charging at the enemy head on, thus the assault scope was designed to have a better purpose when closing distance.
-Versatility, the assault scope's damage combined with it's firerate make it usefull in both long and short ranges to the enemy.
-Reliability, just like the laser scope, the assault scope is usable in any terrain.
-Recoil, with the assault scope being a weapon for both ranges it was blessed with a counter weight mechanism to greatly reduce recoil.
Weaknesses
-Capacity, the assault scopes firerate has the unfortunate backlash that it's 45 round clip get's depleted in several seconds.
-Range, while the assault scopes lasers can reach very far, the full auto function can leave the user cursing even the slight recoil the assault scope delivers, making it trickier to use over long ranges and ensure a kill
-Acuracy, while the assault scope bullets are capable of traveling a logn way, the gun itself frequently scatters the shots, making it even harder to use over very long ranges.
Description
After the laser scope was designed and produced, a significant group of the army found that they wanted something faster, thus the assault scope came out to offer these properties.
