20 milleter grenades in a variety of loads:

Riot gas grenades unleash a small amount of tear gas

High explosive rounds are a metal casing filled with high explosives they are used for anti-personel.  These rounds can be set to detonate at different intervals so they can be used for different purposes. 

White Phospherous rounds start a chemical fire that will  burn through most typical substances

Bean Bag rounds most 40 mm rounds contain three bean bags because of the size constraints of the 20 mm round it is only able to contain one.  That said it hids at double to force of the larger 40 mm rounds bean bags.

Rarity: Unique although it is replacable as Dan'l built the weapon system himself.

Strengths:

The .308 is accurate without the attached optics up to approximately 1,000 yards.  The optic will allow the user an additional 200 yards. 

The bullpup design means it can be used as a primary weapon when clearing houses in urban combat without having the extra barel lenth interfering.

The availability of the .308 round means one can get magazines from three rounds to drum size although the weapon was designed around a thirty round magazine.


There is a tremendous amount of versatility in the number of rounds the grenade launcher is capable of using.

Weaknesses:

Dan'l believes full automatic weapons will only hurt innocents on the battlefield.  This weapon is semi-auto.


[b]The single shot grenade launcher takes between two and  three seconds to reload.

Ammo for the grenade launcher is bulky and explosive not something for the faint of heart to wear.

As there is only one such weapon made any repairs needed are going to have to be made at Dan'l's lab.  Not exactly a positive in the middle of a firefight.

Description:

The LDV-7 assault weapon system is made of an assault rifle in a bullpup design, an integral underbarrel 20 mm grenade launcher (single shot), and an optic system.  The optic systems allow for greater accuracy as well as providing information about the weapon's status.  Ammo count and the type of grenade loaded make it easier on the user to make sure they are ready for whatever the battlefield throws their way.  The optic system comes in two styles one being a gas mask and the other a pair of shades that are able to alter their exterior pattern to prevent light reflecting from them.

This weapon system was designed by Lt. Dan'l Voxic as the perfect weapon for himself.  After testing it he found it to be a wonderful weapon for sure.  However, given his ethical code and the constraints of the grenade launcher he must carry an additional weapon.
