Name: Meteor
Owner: Leverian Legionnaire
Manufacturer: the ship class was built by the Leverian Republic Aerospace Navy Branch (LRANB) and supplied to the Leverian Legionnaire as a high speed interceptor and a high speed fighter
Development Thread: (None Needed)
Materials: the ships' hulls are low weight steel with thin layer of titanium.
Length: 250 meters
Rarity: Mass produced being one of the only light fighters the Leverians use..
Grades:
Weapons: 4.5, The guns that can be fitted on the Meteor are good for armor damage but lack when it comes to disabling shields.
Armor: 3, since the ship is a very light and swift ship, its armor is weak compared to that of a whole entire Cruiser.
Shields: 5 Shields are a priority when it comes the the Meteor, the ship is fast and only uses most of its energy on speed, and shields, this can be changed though but these ships aren't recommended for fighting against strong holds solo.
Speed: 9.5 The Meteors are extremely fast ships, especially when they kick in their Taurus Drive, not all ship have the Taurus drive, but those that do usually use it to catch up with fleeing ships. the Taurus drive kickstarts the engine putting it in over drive, but it has a good chance of burning out the engines. The pilots that use the Taurus Drives refer to this as Flipping and Burning.
Maneuvers: 8 The Meteor also has a very quick maneuver speed and only the most skilled of pilots know how to maneuver during a 'Flip and Burn' and not hurtle off course into a quick death.
Notable Equipment
x3 light hybrid railguns
x1 Taurus Drive Implant
x1 Cold Gas After burner
x2 Small Shield Extender
x1 Flux Coils (for recharging the shields in the midst of battle)
Description
The Meteor frigate is the perfect interceptor as well as a good weakener, though they aren't too tough they do pack somewhat of a punch. Being a one man vessel the Meteor is good for tackling smaller ships but can moderately hold its own against a larger opponent. The speed of the ship makes it a very formidable opponent, especially in groups. They are too fast for turrets to effectively target them and they usually fly in turret blindspots when lining up for an attack.
