| Name: A.A.F: Adaptive Assault Fighter or "Helena" as she's been named. Owner: Elisabeth Adelina Manufacturer: Unknown.
Development Thread: N/A
Materials: Titanium, depleted Uranium, Gallium, Ferrite, Aluminium, Bakelite, Gold and Steel used in different parts of the ship for different things. Length: 300 metres. Rarity: Unique
Grades Grade the aspects of the ship below between 1-10. 1 being severely lacking in that aspect, 10 being specialised. Keep things balanced. Weapons: 8 Armour: 5 Shields: 7 Speed: 8 Manoeuvres: 10
Notable Equipment
- Cyclonic multi-core shield system: As opposed to a single generator that provides protection for the entire shield the A.A.F's shield system is comprised of thousands of different small scale cores spread across the vessel. What this means is that it's a lot harder to take down the entity of the shield network through sheer impact alone than a normal vessel. Sure it's no where near as powerful as a capital class vessel (thousand metre long vessels) but the amount of redundancies built in mean taking down one core will not leave that section of the ship exposed. Additionally due to the prevalence of shield cores it is very easy to layer shields granting it greater absorption of incoming projectiles.
- Adaptive Assault Cannons: The crowning jewel of the A.A.W the four wing mounted cannons (two per wing) are designed to be one thing and one thing only: adaptable. They achieve this by being standard rapid fire cannon weapons yet are set apart by the nano machine system built in. What these nano machines do is, during combat, change the dimensions of the weapons barrels and ammunition in response to different threats. Let's say the A.A.F was fighting fighter class vessels. In response the system would lighten the ammunition to increase flight speed and rate of fire in order to keep up with the speed of the fighter. Alternatively if it was fighting a larger more heavily armoured vessel the nano-machines would make the bullets heavier with a greater metal content to generate more kinetic force for the sake of breaking through the tougher armour. Lastly it can take specialised ammunition, due to how it can resize its barrels, but only physical bullets within reason.
- Magma cutting laser: Originally designed to be used for mining and burning through minerals, mostly metals, the head mounted magma cutting laser has been given a major upgrade in heat output. Instead of trying to use kinetic force to blast through armour the laser is a short ranged weapon designed to melt through and weaken armour by altering its molecular state from solid to liquid.
- Magma cutting claws: Yet another weapon designed to melt through armour as opposed to blast the A.A.F's claws are designed to grab onto structurally weakened armour, such as armour that has been partially melted by the laser, and pull it apart. It was designed to expose the insides of vessels to the vacuum of space or, better yet, make boarding actions much more successful; Easier to get onto the capital ship when it has a gaping hole in it huh? Additionally the A.A.F is physically powerful and can easily rip normal similar sized vessels apart.
- Standard deep space scanner: Essentially a glorified radar system designed to be used in out of space the system's scanner can detect objects and determine their size. It also tells you the distance and provides estimates of travel speed based upon multiple readings.
- Standard communication array: A perfectly normal communication array built into the vessel the only interesting thing about it is that it can only transmit and receive radio signals in bursts from unauthorised channels. Any attempt to open a dedicated permanent communication channel, either to transmit data or radio signals, will immediately be met with a total lack of success without the proper access code. Not even the crew can over ride this.
Description

The A.A.F was made to be the "prototype" of a new type of fighter craft. Fast, adaptable and manoeuvrable it was supposed to be the pinnacle of fighter ship technology but sadly the project was...unexpectedly terminated and the vessel has spent aeons gathering dust. Of course the A.I in charge of assisting the project remained active and successfully completed it but alas it was short of a pilot....until Elisabeth stumbled upon the abandoned facility. Since that day she has served as the only person able to, and indeed allowed to pilot, the A.A.F which is due to one thing: the vessel is alive in one sense of the word.
In addition to its already impressive flight capabilities and weapon systems the A.A.F is partially controlled by an A.I designed to micro manage aspects of the vessel. From controlling the Adaptive Assault Cannons, managing the Cyclonic Shield System, powering the vessel up, running the power core and of course assisting with piloting. As I have said previously it's purpose was to be the "best fighter craft" able to switch between engaging faster lightly armoured targets and slower heavily armoured vessels. Of course it could also be used as a boarding craft, ground attack vehicle and bombing craft. Its usages as a ground attack vehicle is due to the fact it can walk as either a quadruped or bipedal mech.
In terms of crew capacity it was only designed to hold one permanent member of crew, as that's all it needed, however it can hold fifty other people comfortably in the cargo hold despite the fact Elisabeth has converted part of the cargo hold into her living space. Said living space is a combination of a bathroom, small scale kitchen, bedroom and lounge something she appreciates given how it gives her a private home on wheels. Despite that she could still fit in fifty people rather comfortably a throwback to how it was originally designed to be able to fit multiple roles. Beyond that there's not much else to cover...except weaknesses.
Like all craft the A.A.F is not without weaknesses. It may be fast, agile and able to adapt to a variety of challenges but at the end of the day it is still a fighter vessel. Weapons designed to bring down fighter craft, such as anti aircraft weapons, will have a much higher success of bringing it down than a slower moving projectile. Vessels able to keep up with its speed and manoeuvrability can in theory prove to be a threat. Finally it lacks any protection against electromagnetic pulses, which will not utterly disable the vessel, can reduce its effectiveness by temporarily shutting down the A.I that assists in running the vessel. All in all the A.A.F is powerful but not without vulnerabilities.

| Can you reduce one of the shields of Speed. A solo ship shouldnt have two "10's" in stats |

| Reduced speed to eight. Is that better? Or should I make it less? |
